Driving forward the UK’s decarbonisation agenda, ateb Group Ltd. has issued a £20m Prior Information Notice (PIN) for a new Renew Framework covering Retrofit, Planned and Decarbonation Works across Wales. Planned to run for 36 months from April 2026, the framework will be structured into multiple lots spanning electrical, mechanical, fabric, whole-house improvements, and M&E consultancy services. This early market engagement aims to identify capable providers for works such as solar PV installation, energy efficiency upgrades, fire safety, insulation, kitchens, bathrooms, and wider estate improvements – all supporting ateb’s net zero targets.
Strengthening the supply chain for essential materials, YPO is preparing a £12.5m Decorative Paints, Sundries and Painting & Decorating Services Framework available to all UK-wide public sector organisations. Running for 48 months, the renewed framework will provide direct supply, painting, and decorating services, with suppliers invited to shape the lotting structure and commercial model.
Supporting building services maintenance, Luton Borough Council has released a PIN for a £1m Servicing of Air Conditioning Equipment and Associated Works contract across East Anglia. Spanning 36 months, the procurement will cover planned and reactive maintenance, emergency call-outs, and new installations for air conditioning, air handling, and fan coil units.
Focusing on senior living, City of York Council is exploring delivery partners for a £15m Older Persons Accommodation scheme at Lowfield Plot B in Yorkshire & the Humber. Expected to run for 24 months, the development will deliver modern, sustainable homes tailored for residents aged 55 and over, including apartments, bungalows, and communal green spaces as part of York’s wider regeneration pipeline.
On a smaller scale, Hastoe Housing Association has procured the Sunny Bank Retaining Structure project in the South West, valued at £50k over a 2-month tenure. The scheme involves construction of a new boundary retaining wall along a public pathway to enhance safety and site stability.
Finally, Crown Estate Scotland has announced plans for the renovation of Sea Mhor Cottage. The works include improving the thermal envelope, rewiring, replumbing, installation of a new kitchen and bathroom suite, landscaping, and the integration of solar PV to boost energy performance.
