A major procurement opportunity is now live as Thurrock Borough Council announces a £240m contract for Repairs, Planned Maintenance and General Build. This 60-month contract seeks a single main contractor to manage all reactive repairs, voids, and general building works across its housing stock.

Bringing niche expertise into focus, North Yorkshire Council is tendering a £450k Plastering and Rendering contract, split into two geographic lots across its housing portfolio of 8,300+ properties. This 24-month contract includes damp-proofing, ceiling and wall repairs, and render restoration works—an excellent opportunity for local firms specializing in interior and exterior finishes.

Signalling strategic change, West Northamptonshire Council has launched a trio of Pre-Market Engagement (PME) notices, each valued at £8.33m, aimed at reshaping future Term Maintenance Contracts. The first, focusing on Electrical works, includes general electrics, PAT testing, solar PV installations, BMS systems, and emergency lighting. Also within this PME series, the Specialist Works contract invites feedback from contractors experienced in everything from lifts and ventilation to swimming pool plant systems and medical gas installations. Completing the PME triad, the Mechanical services stream encompasses general plumbing, fuel distribution, ventilation, and sustainable heating and cooling systems. The contracts will run for up to 8 years, starting April 2026, and seek to build long-term partnerships with up to four framework suppliers per service area.

Branching into arboriculture, Sheffield City Council is seeking up to six contractors under a £5m Tree Management Framework. The 48-month contract involves managing trees within city boundaries.

Capping off this powerful list of tenders is a transformative £3bn opportunity from the Greater London Authority. The Royal Albert Dock Master Development Partner contract invites visionary developers to deliver a long-term, mixed-use regeneration project across a 30-acre Royal Docks site. The winning partner will shape, plan, fund, and execute a phased, placemaking-led development over a 20-year period, with the award expected in September 2026.
