Adding momentum to essential housing upkeep, Aberdeenshire Council has launched a £7.85m, 24-month Housing Reactive Repairs Contract focused on painting and plastering. Contractors must deliver to strict priority timelines, maintaining close communication with the council and adhering to rapid response requirements. The project commences in November 2025, offering substantial workload across the council’s housing portfolio.
Highlighting the push for greener living, Caredig (formerly Family Housing Association Wales) is seeking expressions of interest for a £650k Solar PV and Associated Energy Measures contract. Funded by the Welsh Government’s Optimised Retrofit Programme. Reinforcing housing stock presentation, Southend-on-Sea Borough Council has tendered a £300k, 60-month Internal and External Decorations contract. Continuing the sustainability drive, Caredig has released a further £599k, three-month Solar PV Installation Contract across up to 100 residential properties. Installations will be delivered in phased batches to minimise disruption. The scheme underscores the growing emphasis on renewable energy within social housing.
