Breaking new ground, Orkney Islands Council has launched a £47m Dynamic Purchasing System for construction, civil engineering, and associated works over a 60-month term. Covering projects up to £2m, the DPS spans building, roofing, electrical, mechanical, landscaping, marine engineering, and even hydrographic surveys. This wide-ranging framework will replace the existing Approved Contractors List and aims to streamline reactive maintenance, planned works, and redevelopment across the Orkney Islands.
Strengthening asset resilience, Rooftop Housing Group is procuring a £15m Asset Management Contract over 120 months. This long-term opportunity covers responsive repairs, void property works, gas servicing, electrical maintenance, and planned investment works. This procurement will deliver comprehensive grounds care across the organisation’s housing portfolio.
Promoting accessibility, Walsall Council has published a £7m PIN for the provision of Disabled Facility Lifts, Overhead Track Hoists, and Associated Works. Running over 48 months, the framework covers six lots including stairlifts, vertical lifts, powered lifting platforms, ceiling track hoists, and ongoing maintenance, offering suppliers a chance to bid for individual or multiple service areas.
Adding to housing stock improvement, Curo is inviting bids for a £1.4m contract to deliver replacement windows, doors, and cyclical works over 24 months in Bath. This procurement covers large-scale aluminium and uPVC window replacements alongside internal and external redecoration, ensuring thermal efficiency and compliance across multiple properties.

Marking a major development pipeline, Hampshire County Council and Devon County Council have released a £4.5bn Preliminary Market Engagement for the sixth generation Southern Construction Framework (SCF6).
