Upgrading access and security systems, Aster Group has released a £5.5m, 48-month contract covering CCTV and door entry systems across its stock in London, the South East, and South West. The scope includes maintenance, responsive callouts, new installations, and 24/7 support.
Ensuring lift safety, Plymouth Community Homes has launched a £380k, 36-month contract for Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) inspections. The contract aims to optimise the professional management of lift assets through routine checks and defect reporting. Initiating one of the UK’s largest FM procurements, Crown Commercial Service has issued early engagement for a monumental £120bn framework covering total, hard, soft, and security FM services across the public sector. Multiple lots are proposed, including tailored options by contract value and service type.
Reimagining former school land, Edinburgh City Council has announced an £81.2m residential-led development at the former Castlebrae High School site. Now at RIBA Stage 2, the 36-month scheme will deliver 307 net-zero homes – 144 social and 163 private for sale through a two-stage development partner process. Launching a new-build scheme, GreenSquareAccord is planning an £5.2m, 18-month contract for 26 affordable homes in Semington, Wiltshire, including bungalows and family housing. The project is currently in the pre-tender phase with an employer’s agent appointment pending.
Delivering structural upgrades, Homes in Somerset (formerly Homes in Sedgemoor) has released a £500k, 12-month contract for Saltland House, covering concrete repairs, re-roofing, and balcony replacements. Site visits are scheduled for w/c 30 June and 7 July, with bid evaluation split across cost, quality, and social value.
