Contract Tenders: 23/09/2025

Big opportunities are emerging across the UK housing sector today, with a line-up of multi-million-pound procurement notices set to reshape maintenance, regeneration, and affordable housing delivery.

Opening with scale, LHC Procurement Group has launched a £60m, 48-month Repairs and Maintenance DPS – Scotland, offering contractors a framework across fourteen lots covering roofing, external works, damp and mould, M&E systems, lifts, detection systems, and multi-disciplinary services. Designed for use by education, healthcare, emergency services, housing providers and wider public buildings, this dynamic procurement system creates a structured opportunity to deliver urgent and planned works across Scotland’s housing and public sector estate.

Moving into essential infrastructure, Nottingham City Council is tendering a £1.8m, 48-month Drainage Inspections and Remedial Repairs framework. The contract will cover all council housing stock and associated land, with up to three suppliers appointed to deliver CCTV surveys, defect reporting, remedial works, and emergency responses. This framework emphasises compliance, asset management integration, and rapid service levels for drainage maintenance across the East Midlands.

Addressing health and compliance, East Dunbartonshire Council is establishing a £2.25m, 36-month Damp & Mould Eradicate, Reinstate & Prevent framework, targeting condensation and ventilation issues across domestic housing estates. Covering eradication, reinstatement, installation of preventative measures, and maintenance of ventilation assets, the contract supports housing providers in tackling one of the sector’s most pressing safety and wellbeing challenges.

Turning attention to large-scale regeneration, Clarion Housing Group has launched an £80.5m, 38-month Demolition and Design & Build contract at the Blenheim Centre in Penge, set to deliver 228 affordable homes alongside nearly 1,000 sqm of commercial space and extensive public realm improvements. Building further momentum, it is also inviting bids for the £58m, 29-month Crystal Palace Park development, a landmark scheme to create 202 affordable homes with supporting landscaping and infrastructure in Bromley – a major procurement opportunity within South London’s housing market. Rounding out this trio of investments, the Group is advancing a £33.16m, 44-month redevelopment of London Chest Hospital Block A&B in Bethnal Green, transforming the disused site into 274 new homes and reinforcing its pipeline of flagship regeneration projects across Greater London.

Engaging early with the market, Brighton & Hove City Council has released a £25m Pre-Market Engagement Notice for Edward Street Redevelopment, part of its New Homes for Neighbourhoods programme. Split across two sites, the scheme includes Oakley House and a Car Park redevelopment, set to deliver a combined 76 affordable homes, including specialist housing for over-55s.

On a smaller but significant scale, Hackney London Borough is procuring a £16m, 24-month Design & Build contract to deliver new social rent housing across two sites – Blackwell Close Garages and Morris Blitz Court. The project, designed by Al-Jawad Pike and Archio, will provide 37 new units, alongside community gardens, playspace and public realm improvements, enhancing the council’s social housing stock.

Concluding today’s round-up, Apex Housing Group is advancing the £10.3m, 24-month Meenan Square Development in Derry/Londonderry. This two-phase regeneration scheme, part of the Northern Ireland Executive’s Urban Villages Initiative, will deliver new social housing alongside a major mixed-use development including retail units, a community hub, and public realm investment – a transformational project for the Bogside area.
