Launching with a significant investment, Aberdeen City Council has unveiled its Housing Capital Projects 2026–30 – Internal Works to Houses contract valued at £30m over 24 months. This multi-supplier framework will deliver wide-ranging internal upgrades across housing stock, covering kitchens, bathrooms, electrical systems, joinery, and full refurbishment works.
Building on future planning, Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing (STAR Housing) is progressing its PIN – Major Works Framework Questionnaire, a £21m procurement spanning 48 months. Designed in line with the Procurement Act 2023, the framework covers mechanical and electrical services, major void refurbishments, responsive repairs, and damp remediation, with clear emphasis on compliance, safety, and sustainability.
Addressing day-to-day and long-term property needs, Beyond Housing Ltd has announced its Void Support Contract – Routine and Capital Investment valued at £4.5m across 24 months. This programme will appoint subcontractors to deliver routine works, cleaning, garden clearances, and capital investment in kitchens, bathrooms, rewires, and multi-element refurbishments. With lots split geographically across Redcar, Whitby, and Scarborough, the contract ensures void properties are brought swiftly back into use with quality and compliance at the forefront.
Shifting towards market engagement, Bespoke Supportive Tenancies (BeST) has issued a PIN – Responsive Repairs Options Appraisal over a 60-month horizon. In partnership with Westmoreland, this exercise seeks contractor input on delivering responsive repairs across a broad portfolio of specialist supported housing. Covering regions from the North East to London and Wales, the engagement aims to assess appetite and capacity in this niche market, ensuring long-term quality maintenance solutions for vulnerable residents requiring lifelong care.
Expanding housing delivery, Choice has published its Ballymoney Area Land Design and Build contract worth £4.9m over 18 months. This procurement opportunity seeks developers to supply land alongside full design and build services for new social housing under the SHDP.
Closing today’s opportunities, CURO has set out a targeted programme through its Block Roof Replacements contract, valued at £1.6m with a 36-month term. The initiative will deliver 16 full roof replacements across its housing stock, ensuring asset longevity and improved housing standards.
