The wide-ranging scope includes asbestos removal, fire safety compliance, roofing, plumbing, and legionella management, with two providers set to be appointed. Broadening minor works delivery, Gentoo Group has announced a £5.4m, 48-month Minor Works Framework. Divided into 13 lots, it covers responsive repairs, roofing, window and door replacements, fencing, demolitions, and external works. Contractors are invited to a market engagement session, with opportunities for both SMEs and larger firms.
Transforming estates through a trio of upgrades, Camden London Borough has launched three major housing contracts. First, the £8m Rowley Way Estate Window Refurbishment covers vacuum double glazing, ironmongery replacement, asbestos removal, and decorative finishes across estate homes. Next, the £1.3m Better Homes Works Contract will modernise 66 dwellings with full kitchen and bathroom replacements, rewiring, finishes, and compliance improvements. Finally, the £11.39m Heating Infrastructure Replacement project at Rowley Way will install new risers, internal heating systems, ventilation, and fire-stopping measures. Together, these works represent over £20m of investment in compliance, resident comfort, and estate preservation.
Accelerating low-carbon retrofits, West Yorkshire Combined Authority has issued a £181k, 23-month Residential Collective Buying Scheme Phase 2. Covering solar PV, heat pumps, insulation, and EV chargers, the scheme creates a pooled procurement model to reduce installation costs and drive adoption of energy-efficient housing measures. Delivering a flagship housing scheme, Westminster City Council is progressing the £80m, 52-month 291 Harrow Road Development Contract. This ambitious project includes 144 new homes, with 48 affordable and 24 adult social care units, alongside community facilities.
Modernising public sector estates, the Northern Ireland Policing Board is tendering a £34.7m, 48-month Property Management Services Framework. Split into lots, the NEC4-based contract covers estate management, new builds, refurbishments, demolitions, and major upgrades to support the PSNI’s long-term estate transformation. Shaping the future of sheltered housing, East Riding of Yorkshire Council is investing £14.5m in the Chantry Court Redevelopment. The scheme involves demolition and full reconstruction into 56 new flats, landscaped communal areas, and modern facilities.
