Among the most significant tenders, Prosper Procurement Ltd has launched a £1bn Decarbonisation & Investment Works Framework for England and Wales, covering solar PV and battery storage, air source and ground source heat pumps, external and internal wall insulation (EWI/IWI), cavity wall insulation (CWI), roofing, ventilation, boiler replacements, hot water and heat distribution systems, kitchens, bathrooms, damp and mould remediation, electrical work, and PAS 2035 compliance. East Riding of Yorkshire Council has issued a £21.6m Term Service Contract for Repair and Maintenance covering void property works, and a 24/7 emergency callout service across 12,000 council-owned properties in 3 separate geographical lots.
In London and the South East, Islington & Shoreditch Housing Association (ISHA) has reopened its DPS for Repairs & Maintenance Services, offering a streamlined procurement route for social housing providers, ALMOs, and local authorities. Covering 14 key service areas, the DPS includes heating maintenance, electrical testing, water hygiene, asbestos surveys and removals, renewable energy installations, fire safety measures, pest control, CCTV, estate services, and more. Open for ongoing contractor participation, this DPS ensures efficient, high-quality housing maintenance, compliance, and sustainability across the region. Looking ahead, LHC’s Procurement Pipeline 2025 for England, Scotland, and Wales includes major upcoming opportunities. These comprise a Renewables DPS for solar PV, battery storage, EV charging, and heat pumps, a Repairs & Maintenance DPS covering roofing, plumbing, heating, M&E works, and environmental safety, and a Public Buildings Construction & Infrastructure Framework for large-scale housing and public sector developments.
The South East Consortium’s Fire Remedial Works Framework worth £300m is set to enhance fire safety compliance across the UK social housing sector by delivering a comprehensive range of fire protection measures. This four-year framework covers fire door replacements, passive fire protection, fire alarms, compartmentation works, fire-stopping installations, and emergency lighting upgrades, ensuring regulatory compliance and tenant safety. Additionally, Wolverhampton Homes has introduced a £70m Managed Stores & Building Materials Contract to streamline procurement and enhance operational efficiency for its in-house repairs team. This 10-year contract covers the supply of essential building materials, including timber, plumbing and heating components, electrical supplies, ironmongery, adhesives, sealants, fixings, aggregates, cement, plaster, insulation, and roofing materials, alongside consumables, tools, plant, and personal protective equipment (PPE) to support seamless maintenance operations.
