Driving forward investment, Eastern Procurement Ltd has unveiled a £237m Windows, Doors, Fire Doors and Roofline Framework running for 48 months across the UK. This wide-ranging procurement opportunity covers supply-only and supply-and-fit contracts, including fire doors, full surveys, fabrication, installation, and rigorous compliance with fire safety legislation, while also allowing for ancillary works such as asbestos removal, roofing, electrical installations, and decoration.
Strengthening accessibility, Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council, alongside Trafford and Rochdale councils, is tendering a £20m Framework Agreement over 48 months for the supply, installation, and maintenance of personal lifts and hoists. Split into four lots, the contract spans stairlifts, through-floor lifts, and ceiling track hoists, combining installation with long-term servicing to support disabled residents in both private and housing association properties.
Enhancing independent living, Oxford City Council has released a £2.9m, 24-month contract for Home Improvement Agency works. This procurement focuses on ramps, level-access showers, wetrooms, and associated bathroom adaptations, funded through Disabled Facilities Grants, ensuring vulnerable and elderly residents can remain safely in their homes with critical adaptations.
Setting the stage for major investment, Southwark Council has issued a £150m Preliminary Market Engagement Notice for Heating & Water Term Contracts. Planned over 60 months, the procurement covers repairs and maintenance of district heating networks, cold-water systems, BEMS, and temporary boiler installations—driving both compliance and climate action commitments. Expanding further, the Council has also announced a £140m PIN for Electrical Installations Repairs & Maintenance across Greater London. This 36-month programme will appoint contractors for works including communal lighting, fire alarms, emergency lighting, solar panels, EV charging, and comprehensive EICRs, ensuring housing stock meets rigorous electrical safety and compliance standards.
On the mobility front, Citizen has launched a £4m, 48-month framework for Groupwide Lift Installation, Repair, and Servicing. Split across Coventry, Birmingham, Hereford, and Worcester, the contract offers opportunities for up to two suppliers per lot, underpinning long-term reliability and value for money across Citizen’s housing portfolio.
Reinforcing fire safety, Vico Homes is procuring £525k of Fire Compartmentalisation Works over 36 months. The contract will deliver FRA remedial works, including fire stopping solutions across Yorkshire and the Humber housing stock, with full certification, compliance reporting, and photographic evidence required to meet BS EN 13501-2 standards.
Maintaining water safety, Dundee City Council is seeking contractors for a £870k Water Hygiene Monitoring Programme over 36 months. Covering inspections, testing, certification, and remedial repairs across multiple property portfolios, this procurement ensures ongoing compliance with water hygiene regulations and supports public health safeguards.
Finally, Powys County Council has launched a £3.6m, 15-month contract for the Development of New Build Council Housing at Ael-Y-Bryn. The scheme includes 14 walk-up flats designed to Welsh Development Quality Requirements, Secured by Design Gold, and EPC A standards—delivering sustainable, compliant housing solutions in Mid Wales.
