Revitalizing living spaces, Amplius is set to release transformative tenders aimed at elevating both living standards and safety across social housing in the East Midlands, East Anglia, and the South East. The first, valued at £41.7m over 60 months, focuses on the supply and installation of kitchen and bathroom refurbishments to improve resident comfort. Complementing this, a second £2.95m tender over 36 months will address fire safety through the installation and maintenance of fire doors.

Architecting a new era in housing excellence, the Hyde Group is orchestrating an ambitious wave of capital works designed to elevate the quality, safety, and sustainability of its housing portfolio across the East Midlands, East Anglia, Greater London, and the South East. The programme includes major refurbishments such as roofing, windows and doors, internal and external upgrades, and kitchen and bathroom modernisation – each valued around £27.4m and spanning 60 months. Complementing these are vital contracts for cyclical decoration (£22.84m), fire and security systems maintenance (£25m over 36 months), and a £6m decarbonisation initiative. Collectively, these works aim to enhance the functionality, resilience, and environmental performance of Hyde’s social housing stock.

Redefining resident wellbeing through strategic upgrades, Newham London Borough is poised to deliver a dual-impact investment aimed at enhancing both the quality and durability of its social housing stock. Across two major initiatives, the council will fund comprehensive ‘Decent Homes’ improvements – £15m and launch a cyclical maintenance programme – £6.66m , each spanning 36 months. Together, these efforts will uplift living standards for tenants while ensuring long-term upkeep and resilience of housing assets.

Surging ahead with strategic housing investment, today’s surge of UK social housing pipeline notices leading the charge, Beyond Housing Ltd is scoping a £5.58m Voids Labour Support Contract divided into multiple lots covering Redcar and Whitby/Scarborough, ensuring faster turnaround of vacant properties. Meanwhile, Wiltshire Council plans a £2.4m multi-trade responsive repair contract to support its HRA stock. Heating up the Market with Major Build and M&E Works, Haringey London Borough announces substantial projects: a £100m Selby Urban Village housing development, a £45m Domestic and Commercial Gas Maintenance contract and a £4.2m build for 12 new homes at Norman Close. Over in the West Midlands, Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council is bringing forward three major packages – £27.6m for heating system servicing, £22m for central heating and boiler replacement, and £16.8m for lift refurbishments and maintenance.

Framework powerhouses take centre stage, The Guinness Partnership is grabbing interest in expansive 48-month frameworks: £41.67m each for nationwide lift services and comprehensive cleaning of housing stock. Similarly, Hull City Council is progressing multiple housing-related initiatives including MMC new-build housing (£12.5m), lift replacement schemes (£4m), and access control systems (£3m). 

Safety, sustainability, and smart design, on the fire safety front, Moat is investing £3.5m into equipment maintenance, while Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking providers for a £2.8m lift maintenance programme. Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council has also flagged a future opportunity for electrical testing services worth up to £3m. A major £200m Facilities Management & Consultancy Framework is planned by Oxfordshire County Council, covering everything from minor works to specialist consultancy. From major builds to local impact, Leeds City Council is launching two huge opportunities: a £26m grounds maintenance engagement and a £1.5bn YORbuild major works framework.

Charting new coastal horizons, VIVID is setting the stage for a transformative £49m construction project at Victory Quay, Tipner, covering Phases 2 and 3 of a major development scheme. New homes and regeneration at scale, Bromley London Borough has set the stage for four residential developments valued over £60m in total, including sites in St Pauls Cray, Orpington, Beckenham, and Mottingham. ESPO (Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation) also hints at a £20.8m national flooring framework. Innovative social housing in the South West, Aster Group stands out with four separate build schemes totalling over £31m, including 41 new homes at Dartmoor, 40 homes for rent in North Devon, and developments in Georgeham and St Dennis. Rounding off today’s highlights, Stonewater Ltd is preparing a £2.6m national planned roofing programme.
