Kicking off today’s major tenders, Watford Community Housing Trust has launched a £1.42bn Maintain Framework to cover Repairs and Empty Homes maintenance across the UK. This four-year framework is structured into regional lots, allowing suppliers to bid for specific areas such as London, the Midlands, Wales, and the North of England. The appointed suppliers will deliver responsive repairs and maintenance services, ensuring efficient housing stock management across multiple public sector entities. Following closely, CHIC Limited has opened bidding for a £970m Multiple Elements of the Built Environment Framework (2025-2029). This framework is designed to engage accredited suppliers in delivering a wide range of construction and maintenance works, spanning demolition, groundworks, insulation, roofing, electrical services, kitchens, bathrooms, and scaffolding. With seventeen specialized workstreams, this framework caters to a broad spectrum of housing improvement needs.

Enhancing resilience in housing infrastructure, Procurement Assist Ltd has introduced a £650m Cyclical Maintenance Framework Agreement, inviting suppliers to support NHS Trusts, social housing providers, local authorities, blue light services, education institutions, charities, and other public sector bodies. Spanning 48 months, this framework covers planned and reactive maintenance services across domestic and commercial sites, ensuring building longevity, regulatory compliance, and optimal housing conditions. Meanwhile, Notting Hill Genesis is inviting bids for a £500m Void Property Refurbishment Framework, focusing on asbestos removal, internal repairs, energy efficiency improvements, gas safety checks, and electrical rewiring across Greater London. On the regeneration front, Havering London Borough has launched a £225m Major Projects and Regeneration Framework, spanning 122 months. This initiative includes their housing stock split across high-risk buildings, medium and low-rise blocks, and internal street properties, with key services in retrofit insulation, fire safety upgrades, structural reinforcements, and estate-wide regeneration projects.

Supporting energy-efficient housing, Flagship Housing Group has announced a £20m Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for Energy Efficiency Retrofit Installation Contractors and Consultants. This DPS will ensure the supply and installation of insulation, renewable energy solutions, heating system upgrades, solar PV panels, and ventilation improvements, helping housing associations meet EPC rating targets and decarbonization goals. In accessible housing modifications, Kirklees Council is commissioning a £10m Framework for Adapted Bathrooms, Standard Bathrooms, and Wetroom Anti-Slip Flooring. This contract ensures homes are safe, modern, and accessible, particularly for elderly and disabled residents.

Ensuring long-term quality in new-build housing, L&Q Group has launched a DPS for Aftercare, Disrepair, and Reactive Repairs across London, North West, and South East. Covering post-construction defect resolution, emergency repairs, and disrepair claims, this DPS supports L&Q’s 95,000-home portfolio. Expanding statutory safety and compliance services, Efficiency North is introducing a DPS for Compliance Works (2025) to support social housing, private domestic properties, and public sector buildings across the UK. Covering fire safety systems, air source heat pump servicing and installation, water hygiene management, surge protection, and electrical compliance testing, this framework also includes solar PV maintenance, security systems (CCTV and access control), sprinkler and fire alarm servicing, warden call systems, and lift maintenance.

Housing disrepair remains a critical focus, with Places for People Group launching a £400m Damp and Mould Works and Services Framework across England and Scotland. This contract involves damp surveys and remedial works, ensuring healthier living environments. Southwark Council’s £655m Development Agreement (2026) seeks two partners to fund, design, construct, and sell residential-led schemes across two multi-site lots. Focused on affordable housing, mixed-tenure developments, and sustainable regeneration, the project offers a flexible pipeline of additional sites at the council’s discretion.

Revitalizing public infrastructure, Lambeth London Borough has launched a £20m Capital Works Framework, inviting contractors to deliver mechanical and electrical upgrades, construction and refurbishment works, roofing repairs, fire safety improvements, and professional services. This four-year framework is divided into five specialist lots, ensuring the efficient execution of infrastructure enhancements and essential housing improvements. Ensuring a seamless supply chain for construction and maintenance, Efficiency North has introduced a DPS for Building Materials and Associated Goods (2025). Covering insulation, plumbing and heating materials, roofing supplies, glazing, timber, windows, doors, kitchens, and ironmongery, this UK-wide framework supports social housing, repair services, and contractor-led projects. It also includes environmental monitoring equipment, security hardware, and prefabricated building components, enabling suppliers to meet diverse procurement needs while ensuring compliance with Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
