The Nottingham City Council, as part of its Midlands Net Zero Hub, has launched a £900m DPS for Energy Efficient Retrofit Installers. This Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) will cover design, supply, and installation of solar PV, battery storage, heat pumps, smart heating controls, wall insulation, and full house retrofits across various UK regions, ensuring homes meet net-zero standards. Ealing Council has announced a £185m Mechanical & Electrical Capital Works Framework, securing contractors for automatic gates, CCTV, electrical remedial works, fire alarms, sprinklers, solar PV, heat pumps, and white goods maintenance over a 5+5 year period.
A £48m External Planned Maintenance contract by Cambridge City Council is now open, covering building refurbishments, roof repairs, chimney works, insulation, windows, doors, asbestos removal, estate drainage, and renewable energy installations across council-owned housing and operational buildings. On the infrastructure front, Hampshire County Council has unveiled a £21m Grounds Maintenance Framework (2025-2029), ensuring quality landscaping, hedge trimming, and sports facility upkeep across 500+ sites. Midlothian Council has launched a £14m Housing & Non-Housing Multi-Trades Framework, securing specialist contractors for electrical, plumbing, roofing, landscaping, flooring, and painting works to improve council housing stock and community properties.
Wales & West Housing Association Ltd. has released an £8.08m multi-lot Framework for the Supply and Installation of Windows, Doors and Roofline Improvements across North, South, and West Wales, enhancing housing energy efficiency. Broadacres Housing Association Ltd. is investing £8m in Retrofit & Decarbonisation, focusing on solar panels, air source heat pumps, loft insulation, and ventilation upgrades to meet PAS 2035 compliance over the next three years. Midlothian Council has also launched a £5.4m Windows & Doors Supply Contract, seeking providers to supply and install 750 doors and 1,600 windows annually across its council housing portfolio.
Harrow London Borough has opened a £2.4m Fire & Security PPM & Reactive Services contract, covering fire alarms, sprinkler systems, panic alarms, and compliance testing to protect corporate properties, schools, and public buildings. Kingstown Works Ltd. (KWL) is launching a £2m contract for Kitchen Supply, Design and Installation, including spare doors and fittings, supporting council housing kitchen refurbishments. Nottingham City Council is inviting bids for a £1m Air Handling Plant & Geothermal Heat Pumps Maintenances contract, covering planned and reactive maintenance for air conditioning, heat pumps, chiller units, and ventilation systems across public sector buildings.
