Contract Awards: 18/06/2025

A new round of UK social housing contract awards spans kitchen supply, energy efficiency retrofits, accessibility works, out-of-hours repairs, and major regeneration design — unlocking delivery opportunities with top contractors and suppliers.

Making strides in energy efficiency, The Highland Council has appointed Union Technical Services to deliver a £9.2m ECO4-funded retrofit project across eligible housing stock. Works will include cavity and loft insulation, ASHPs, and solar PV to align with net zero ambitions, with the contract running for seven months.

Delivering critical accessibility improvements, Canterbury City Council has awarded a 36-month contract to PFL Electrical Services for the provision of aids and adaptations across its housing stock. The services will cover stair lifts, ramps, grab rails, and full bathroom/kitchen conversions for residents with disabilities.

Ensuring 24/7 property care, Derby Homes has selected T&S Heating for a £750k Out-of-Hours Repairs contract, ensuring a responsive 24-month service across multiple trades, including gas, electrical, plumbing, and joinery emergencies.

Ensuring 24/7 property care, VIVID has chosen PMC Construction & Development Services for a five-month Pre-Construction Services Agreement related to Phase 1 of the Victory Quay development. PMC will handle design reviews, planning condition submissions, SAP modelling, and more — leading to a future £50–60m JCT D&B contract.

Advancing retrofit compliance, Bield Housing Association Ltd. has awarded a six-month Lot 2 call-off to Hugh LS McConnell for domestic works at Turnbull Court, including heating systems, solar PV, electrical upgrades, and full bathroom refurbishments under EESSH2 compliance. Scaling up kitchen supply delivery, it has also engaged Howdens Joinery on a £10m, 60-month call-off for kitchen supply through the PFH Capital Works and Associated Services DPS — supporting large-scale kitchen upgrades across Scotland.
