Driving energy efficiency across Yorkshire and the Humber, North Lincolnshire Council has appointed Yes Energy Solutions to deliver its £3.1m Warm Homes Scheme. The project will provide low-income households with grants for insulation upgrades and low-carbon heating, targeting privately owned homes in need of improved energy performance under the government’s Local Warm Homes Grant initiative.

In Scotland, River Clyde Homes continues its investment in property upgrades with two parallel contracts totalling £3m. James Frew Ltd will oversee the £1.49m supply and fit of kitchens and bathrooms, while CR Smith Manufacturing secures an equivalent £1.49m contract for uPVC windows and doors. Both frameworks will run for 24 months, improving home comfort and quality standards across Inverclyde.

Enhancing fire safety in the East Midlands, Newark and Sherwood District Council has awarded Fieldway Group a £333k, 24-month fire door maintenance contract to strengthen resident protection across its housing stock. Across the Midlands, Midland Heart has commissioned Lift Craft for a £325k lift upgrade and replacement programme spanning East and West Midlands properties, while Bernicia Group Ltd in the North East has chosen Classic Lifts for a £125k passenger lift installation at Robson House, managed under Section 20 consultation.

Supporting sustainability in Wales, Pembrokeshire County Council has finalised a £1m framework for the provision of waste haulage services, appointing AD Howells, Gavin Griffiths Recycling, and CWM Environmental to handle waste logistics over a 24-month period. In the West Midlands, Citizen has appointed MadiganGill Resource to deliver £200k security services at Whitecross Road, providing out-of-hours building protection, resident support, and emergency coordination to ensure a safe and responsive housing environment.

Meanwhile, West Northamptonshire Council has advanced two linked projects for the Evelyn Wright Care Home in Daventry — awarding Asbestech a £94.9k asbestos removal contract ahead of demolition, followed by Down to Earth Demolition for the £82k main demolition works, preparing the site for redevelopment. Rounding out today’s batch, Blackpool Borough Council has appointed Bambers under its BHC Building and Refurbishment Framework to deliver a £57k refurbishment at 132 Caunce Street, awarded to the most competitive bidder
