A fresh wave of contract activity highlights critical housing upgrades across the UK. T.S.G. Building Services has been awarded a £400k contract by Dartford Borough Council for a 1-month responsive repairs and voids programme, ensuring urgent maintenance support for the authority’s housing stock.

In a major investment to support heat network reliability, Hackney London Borough has appointed Aston Heating to deliver a £20m, 60-month contract for the upgrade and replacement of communal heating systems. The project covers capital works including new system commissioning and statutory compliance improvements.

Heating renewal efforts continue with South Yorkshire Housing Association, which selected Ashley and McDonough for a £5m central heating replacement contract over 34 months. The work spans general needs and Livewell properties, including boiler upgrades, radiator replacements, and full system overhauls in occupied homes.

Fire safety takes priority as Together Housing Group partners with ABCA Systems on a £1m, 36-month passive fire protection contract under Lot 8 of Fusion21’s Building Safety and Compliance Framework, supporting multi-regional compliance initiatives.

Turning to structural improvements, CCG (Scotland) has secured a £1.59m contract with Queens Cross Housing Association to refurbish two vacant tenement buildings over a 9-month term. The works include roofing, insulation, kitchen and bathroom installations, and potential conversion of retail units to flats pending feasibility.

In the materials supply category, Scotland Excel has launched a £60m, 48-month framework for the Supply and Delivery of Bitumen and Associated Products. Multiple suppliers—Instarmac, Tarmac, Viatec UK, Red Stag Materials, Colas, and others—will provide bulk bitumen, surface dressings, and cementitious products across five distinct lots.

Rounding off the awards, Parcor has been selected by Connect Housing to carry out a comprehensive stock condition survey programme valued at £3m. The 60-month contract will inform long-term asset management planning across Yorkshire and the Humber.
