A major national decarbonisation push sees Procure Plus Holdings Ltd award a £1.53bn, 48-month Framework for the Installation of Low and Zero Carbon Technologies across social housing and wider public sector buildings UK-wide. Multiple suppliers have been appointed across lots spanning retrofit assessment and design, air source and ground source heat pump installation, electric heating, solar PV and battery storage, and broader multi-measure energy efficiency retrofit works, including insulation and ventilation upgrades. The framework also places strong emphasis on social value, requiring partners to generate meaningful employment and training opportunities for people underrepresented or excluded from the construction workforce.

Turning to the North of England, East Riding of Yorkshire Council has awarded a £21.0m, 36-month Term Service Contract for Reactive Repairs to Occupied Council Housing. Split across three geographical lots, the appointed suppliers will deliver responsive building fabric repairs, glazing, joinery, plumbing, roofing, plastering, decoration, scaffolding and 24/7 emergency call-out services across a housing stock of approximately 12,000 homes.

In Newcastle, Straightline (NE) has secured a £97k contract by Newcastle City Council to supply and install new windows and doors at twenty properties in the Elswick Triangle, replacing units that have failed condition checks as part of cyclical maintenance. Enhancing resident safety, The Guinness Partnership has appointed Ashley & McDonough on a £1.8m, 24-month Gas Alarm Installation Works and Servicing call-off from Lot G of the Procurement Assist Cyclical Maintenance Framework. Works include gas alarm installations, servicing, gas detection systems and associated compliance activity across regions including the North West, Midlands, East Anglia, London and the South.

In Scotland, East Lothian Council has commissioned RJ Lifts Group on a £360k, 36-month lift servicing and maintenance call-off, ensuring continued reliability and safety of lifting equipment within residential buildings. Supporting compliance programmes, Mid Devon District Council has awarded MD Building Services a £100k, 16-month contract for cyclical electrical testing and inspection across council homes, covering December 2025 through March 2027.

In the East Midlands and East Anglia, Futures Housing Group has appointed P S Marsden Lawnmowers on a £83k, 24-month contract to service and maintain grounds maintenance and arborist equipment, sustaining estate care capabilities year-round. Addressing external estate enhancements, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council has engaged Impart Links on a £3.5m, 36-month contract to upgrade deteriorated slabbed and hardstanding areas to tarmac, alongside related works to fencing, gates and soft landscaping.

Across the rural estate portfolio, The Crown Estate has awarded T.M. Browne a £345k, 12-month Refurbishment project at Pointon House Farmhouse, restoring the property to long-term residential standard. Finally, Aberdeenshire Council has appointed Scorgie Construction on a £67k, 2-month reinstatement of a fire-damaged property at 70 Kirk Street, returning the home to fit-for-occupation condition.
