Fire safety upgrades remain a key focus, with Cheltenham Borough Council awarding MD Building Services a £2.13m, 54-month contract for the Replacement of Fire Rated and Non-Fire Rated Timber Doorsets, Door Assemblies, and Associated Works. This contract ensures fire safety compliance and enhanced structural integrity across Cheltenham’s social housing stock.
Prioritizing electrical safety and regulatory compliance, Haringey London Borough has engaged NRT Electrical for a £1.88m, 60-month Electrical Testing contract to carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) and required repairs on social housing properties. The project includes installing new smoke and heat detection systems and ensuring compliance with the UK Housing Act 2004 and BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations. With a focus on resident engagement and eco-friendly landscaping, Pickering & Ferens Homes has awarded Malc Firth Landscapes a £2.54m, 36-month contract for social housing Grounds Maintenance across 1,453 properties in Kingston-upon-Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire. The contract focuses on high-quality landscaping, environmental upkeep, and resident engagement in shaping service standards, ensuring enhanced outdoor spaces for housing communities.

Aspire Housing Limited has partnered with Jewson Partnership Solutions (STARK Building Materials UK) for a £49m, 60-month Material Supply Solution contract covering construction materials, plant hire, and additional work streams such as kitchen, window, door, and boiler supply. The contract ensures streamlined procurement, efficient material logistics, and cost-effective supply chain management for housing refurbishments and maintenance projects across Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, and Cheshire East. Similarly, Aspire Housing Limited has awarded Howdens Joinery Group a £5.28m, 36-month contract as the sole Kitchen Provider for its housing stock. The contract includes the design and supply of kitchens, ensuring a consistent, modern aesthetic and improved quality standards across its properties in the West Midlands and North West. Over the next five years, 3,000 new kitchens will be delivered under this scheme.
