Wigan Metropolitan Borough Council has awarded a £6.1m framework to multiple suppliers including UPS Building & Maintenance, DASCO Construction, JJH Building Contractors, and AGR Building and Fencing Contractors. Over four years, they will deliver simple major adaptations such as wet room installations and accessibility improvements across council and privately owned homes in the North West.
In the South East, mhs homes group has appointed Bell Group to a £1m call-off contract for cyclical painting and decorating across non-leaseholder properties for 15 months, and Sureserve Compliance Fire will carry out £480k of fire door replacement and compartmentation works over a 12-month term.
Bromford Flagship Ltd has selected Mitie for a £700k pre-paint repairs and cyclical redecoration programme spanning multiple English regions for 14 months.
Meanwhile, North Tyneside Council awarded a £8m framework to Buston & Maughan for heating installations over an initial two-year term, with options to extend. The scope covers gas-fired boiler installs and supporting works, aiming to improve efficiency across their housing stock.
Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council has handed a £844k, two-year house and garden clearance contract to Orbis Protect, covering waste removal, pest control and fumigation for void and occasionally occupied council properties.
Midland Heart awarded GEDA Construction Company a £5.8m design-and-build contract for 32 new apartments at Hagley Road, Edgebaston, including communal facilities and associated site works.
Over in the North West, Regenda Group has appointed multiple scaffolding specialists — including BRS Northern, JAS Scaffolding, SCAFF It, GTM Property Maintenance, Wirral Roofcare, AJS Scaffolding — on a £1m framework to deliver scaffolding for responsive repairs and capital roofing projects over 48 months.
Finally, Glasgow City Council has secured Prism UK Medical for the £535k supply and delivery of standing transfer aids and accessories on a five-year term, enhancing equipment available for moving and handling support across the city’s care services.
