Fresh momentum is driving UK housing procurement as major frameworks and targeted contracts secure delivery partners across the country.

Leading the headlines, The Guinness Partnership has confirmed a monumental £250m Buildings Remediation Framework running for 48 months UK-wide. With winners including Guildmore, Stanmore Contractors, Mulalley & Co, Higgins Partnerships, Fortem Solutions, Axis Europe and more, the framework covers a vast scope of fire safety, cladding replacement, structural strengthening, façade works, roofing, and compliance upgrades. ProcurePublic will manage the agreement, ensuring access for all UK public sector bodies and giving contractors an unparalleled opportunity to deliver critical remediation and compliance works at scale.

Adding strength to regional asset investment, New Forest District Council has awarded a £2m Bathroom Replacements contract to On-Point Building Contractors on a 46-month tenure across the South East. The agreement will deliver large-scale bathroom renewal programmes within NFDC’s housing stock, supporting resident satisfaction while maintaining compliance with modern housing standards.

On the energy-efficiency front, Rykneld Homes has appointed Henman Dunn for a £4m, 36-month Domestic Central Heating Installations and Renewables contract across the East Midlands. The scope prioritises EPC Band C upgrades, high-efficiency boiler installations, air-source heat pumps, and smart heating controls. This award underpins Rykneld Homes’ long-term carbon-reduction strategy, driving sustainability and reduced fuel poverty for tenants.

In Scotland, Perth and Kinross Council has confirmed Valley Group as the successful supplier for a £2.1m, 24-month Domestic Smoke Alarm Replacement programme. Covering around 2,300 properties, the project will see installation of mains-powered multi-sensor alarms and Aico battery-operated devices, ensuring full compliance with national fire safety regulations.

Elsewhere in the North West, Yorkshire and Humber, Incommunities Ltd. has finalised a £1.6m Asbestos Removal Works call-off contract under EN:Procure’s GEN4 Framework, appointing Clarkes Environmental and EM1 for a 24-month term. The contract covers licensed and non-licensed asbestos removal across both void and tenanted properties, safeguarding housing stock and resident wellbeing.

Closing the latest round of awards, South Ayrshire Council has selected GMG Contractors for a £3.06m External Wall Insulation (EWI) and Re-Roofing Works project in Lochside South, Ayr. The 19-month contract, procured via the Procurement for Housing (PfH) DPS, will deliver much-needed insulation and roofing upgrades to improve energy performance and housing quality across the region.
