London’s retrofit drive gains pace as Hillingdon London Borough awards a series of Green Homes Initiative call-offs, with PFL Electrical securing £486k for Phase 2 and £472k for Phase 1, while ARC Group London takes four contracts worth £406k, £364k, £343k, and £339k across Phases 2, 3, 1 (Yiewsley Court), and 4. Each seven-month package targets energy efficiency, compliance, and housing stock upgrades, reinforcing the borough’s commitment to sustainable, modernised homes.

Major momentum in housing compliance and heating works has been secured as Efficiency East Midlands Ltd (EEM) confirmed its £850m Heating and Hot Water Systems Framework (EEM0026). Spanning 48 months UK-wide, this framework brings together a consortium of contractors including Axis Europe, D+K Heating Services, Dodd Group, Matthews and Tannert, Sureserve Compliance, UK Gas Services, GAP Property Services, Phoenix Gas Services, TSG Building Services, and Alternative Heat. The programme will cover boiler installations, servicing, maintenance, repairs, and emergency callouts, ensuring compliance and safety across diverse housing stock for members nationwide.

Driving significant investment across the West Midlands, Housing Plus Group has awarded a suite of long-term call-offs. The contracts include a £6.3m award to British Gas Social Housing (t/a PH Jones) and a £4.9m deal with Sureserve Compliance Central for domestic heating service and maintenance, both lasting 60 months. In parallel, McIntyre Compliance Services secured a £1.5m, 60-month contract for fire and security testing, while EA-RS Solutions took a £1.25m, 48-month deal for fire safety system servicing. Completing the package, Ashley & McDonough won a £750k, 60-month call-off for commercial heating system maintenance. Together, these awards reinforce Housing Plus Group’s focus on compliance, heating resilience, and fire safety across its housing and commercial portfolio.

On the electrical compliance front, GreenSquareAccord confirmed a £600k, 12-month award to Electrical Compliance and Safety for Electrical Testing & Reporting, ensuring safe and regulated delivery across housing stock in the East and West Midlands, South East, and South West regions.

In the North West, Magenta Living has awarded a £557k, 8-month contract to Cannon Elec for Electrical Rewires, enhancing energy safety and compliance across its housing stock.

Lifting safety standards, Staffordshire County Council entrusted Lift Craft with a £450k, 24-month single-supplier contract for the Provision of Service and Maintenance of Passenger Lifts. Covering 179 lifts across schools, civic buildings, fire stations, and housing assets, the deal requires 24/7 callout capability across the North West, Midlands, and beyond.

Meeting statutory compliance needs, Milton Keynes Borough Council confirmed a £624k, 24-month contract with Orion Building Engineering Services for Legionella Planned Preventative Maintenance. The award covers water safety management across general needs blocks and sheltered housing, ensuring safe temperatures, TMV servicing, and shower/tap descaling.

Closing this round of awards, Golden Lane Housing directly appointed Delco Safety on a £550k, 48-month call-off for Fire Risk Assessments – Lot 4 (South). Covering East Anglia, Greater London, South East, and South West regions, the contract will ensure consistent and compliant risk assessments under Procure Plus Fire Risk and Mitigation Framework.
