Breaking new ground, Look Ahead Care & Support Ltd has awarded a £10m Small Works Framework over 48 months to a consortium of suppliers – Raam Construction, Saltash Enterprises, Chas Berger, and The AD Construction Group. This framework covers whole-house improvement, cyclical decorations, major void works, and component renewal projects across Greater London and the South East, with flexible call-off options to ensure efficient delivery under JCT contracts.

Driving retrofit ambitions, Sunderland City Council has confirmed a £1.5m contract with PHS Home Solutions for the assessment, supply and installation of whole- or partial-house retrofit measures. Running for 48 months in the North East, the project will deliver PAS2035/MCS-compliant energy efficiency upgrades, low-carbon heating, and aftercare support, directly supporting Warm Homes Local Grant objectives.

Enhancing living standards, Central Bedfordshire Council has entrusted CBM Group with a £480k, 12-month contract for the installation of kitchens and bathrooms in housing properties. The East Anglia-based project aims to modernise essential domestic facilities while adhering to clear procurement compliance and delivery timelines.

Continuing with estate care, Hillingdon London Borough has awarded D R Jones Yeovil a £338.8k contract over 12 months for External Repairs and Decorations – Phase 3. The programme includes internal and external redecorations alongside associated repairs, ensuring the upkeep and long-term resilience of council housing assets across Greater London.

Focusing on resident safety, Eldon Housing Association Ltd has engaged Axis Europe for a £1.89m Fire Remedial Works Contract. This urgent one-month project addresses critical compliance and fire safety requirements within Eldon’s managed properties, highlighting the sector’s continued emphasis on protecting tenants and meeting regulatory standards.

Tackling long-standing housing issues, Northern Ireland Housing Executive has awarded Combined Facilities Management a £12.4m, 48-month contract for multi-element improvement works to 109 dwellings in Creggan Heights, Derry City. The works will remediate condensation, damp and mould, upgrade roofs, walls and insulation, and improve ventilation systems, forming the first phase of a wider programme aimed at lifting housing conditions and reducing costly reactive maintenance.

With the assistance of AI
