Kicking things off, Westminster London Borough has appointed Laker BMS for a £1.03m Second Source Responsive Repairs – Multi-Trade contract spanning 36 months. This agreement will ensure the delivery of high-quality responsive repairs—including carpentry, electrical work, decorating, and more—across council housing stock, promoting faster service response and enhanced tenant satisfaction.
Bringing facilities maintenance to the forefront, Berneslai Homes has entrusted Norse Commercial Services with a £1.5m Building Cleaning Services contract lasting 60 months. The deal encompasses communal area cleaning for independent living schemes, flats, central offices, and community centres in Barnsley, ensuring hygienic and well-maintained shared spaces.
Driving large-scale construction momentum, LHC Procurement Group has launched a colossal £1bn Framework for the Construction of New Build Housing Projects across Wales. Delivered over 48 months, the multi-supplier framework includes firms such as Beech Developments (NW), Brynbuild, Lovell, and Wates Construction, among others. The framework will support diverse housing developments, from single-family dwellings to care homes and mixed-use schemes, while also offering scope for demolition, site preparation, and community facility development.
Rounding off this suite of awards, Efficiency North has selected a broad panel of contractors including Acorn Analytical Services, Lucion Services, and Socotec Asbestos, for its £93.75m Asbestos, Demolition & Water Hygiene Framework (GEN4). Running for 48 months and covering the UK, this framework enables social landlords to procure asbestos consultancy, demolition, and hygiene services with ESG commitments embedded—supporting safe, compliant housing environments across both domestic and public sectors.
