Leading with scale and ambition, Folkestone & Hythe District Council has appointed Mears for a transformative £60m contract over 120 months to deliver responsive repairs, void refurbishments, and planned works. Covering over 3,400 properties, this contract employs hybrid pricing models including Price-Per-Property, basket rates, and NHF schedules for out-of-hours repairs and refurbishment of kitchens, bathrooms, and adaptations.
Taking a multi-pronged approach to property care, Redditch Borough Council has awarded three contracts under different frameworks. First, Bell Group secured a £2.7m, 36-month deal for reactive decoration and fire remedial works via the PFH Framework, supporting fire safety and aesthetic upgrades. Next, Orbis Protect will deliver void property cleaning and clearance services under a 12-month, £900k contract, helping reduce re-let times and improve housing readiness.
In a move to strengthen safety audits, Bolton at Home has appointed ICON Training and Assessment through the Fusion 21 Framework for third-party gas and electrical assurance auditing. The £124k contract, lasting 24 months, will also cover renewable energy audits and CO incident reviews. Addressing accessibility and modernisation, Housing 21 has issued two lift-related contracts. First, Target Lifts secured a 12-month deal worth £126k for passenger lift renewal, while Jackson Lift Services was awarded a parallel 12-month, £105k contract for routine lift servicing—both procured under UK threshold provisions.
Stepping into new construction, Wolverhampton City Council awarded Keon Homes a 27-month, £11.17m contract for the demolition and development of 43 new bungalows across two sites. This includes two- and three-bedroom properties and complete infrastructure works. Additionally, Morro Partnerships will construct 11 new homes in Cannock under an 11-month, £2.48m contract, continuing the council’s push to expand high-quality, affordable housing.
For compliance-led asset management, North Yorkshire Council has awarded Tersus Consultancy a £2.5m contract spanning 72 months for asbestos, legionella, and mould management. The service includes testing, removal, reporting, and staff training—delivered via a digital portal to ensure transparency and legislative compliance. Further supporting operational efficiency, Stark Building Materials UK (trading as Jewson Partnership Solutions) has secured a £22m, 60-month agreement to supply a full range of building, plumbing, electrical, and specialist materials via a managed store model.
