Kicking off this week’s update, Stevenage Borough Council has awarded its comprehensive Housing Responsive Maintenance and Void Property Works (SBC 1224) framework valued at £11.29m over 36 months. This major multi-lot framework is shared among specialist firms covering diverse housing needs — PiLON leads general R&M works, Topcoat Construction manages responsive repairs, Principle Construction and Maintenance delivers damp and mould remediation, and N&P Windows handles doors and glazing. Roofing and scaffolding are led by Specialised Group, Dalrod (UK) takes on drainage, while CBM Group oversees electrical and central heating services, including emergency cover. The framework enables phased internal delivery from year two, reflecting Stevenage’s strategic focus on operational resilience and enhanced value for residents.

Meanwhile, Wiltshire Council has appointed Collinssons for its Responsive Works & Services – Void Property Works & Services (HM2140 – HRA) contract worth £3.6m over three years. This project covers comprehensive refurbishment of void homes, bringing properties back to lettable standard through multi-trade repairs, plumbing, plastering, and decorating, with a budget allocation of £900k annually.

Over in East Anglia, Norwich City Services Ltd (NCSL) continues to strengthen its maintenance operations through a series of quick-response awards. Castle Electrical Services, CLC Contractors, Charterhouse Property Solutions, Purdy Contracts, and Eastern Counties Scaffolding Services have each secured targeted contracts valued between £30k–£50k, ensuring continuity in electrical, void, and scaffolding works across the city.

Further north, Vico Homes (formerly WDH) has finalised its Drainage R&M Services and Associated Works – Lot 37 (Call-off) award to L D Environmental Solutions under the EN Procure Framework, worth approximately £1.14m across 48 months. This deal covers responsive and preventative drainage and water supply maintenance throughout the Wakefield district, including emergency coverage. Additionally, Vico Homes continues to prioritise safety with the award of its Fire Compartmentalisation Works to RiskFire, valued at £613k over 36 months. The project delivers fire-stopping and FRA remedial works in compliance with BS EN 13501-2, ensuring certified installation and third-party inspection across Yorkshire and the Humber.

In the Midlands, Nottingham City Council has launched a £4.5m Mechanical Contracting Framework (CPU 5361) over 47 months, appointing Midland Counties Heating Services, Miller Freeman & Sons (Nottingham), and Sureserve Compliance Central. The framework will provide supply, installation, servicing, and maintenance of heating, plumbing, and ventilation systems citywide. Complementing this, Derby Homes has called off from its Electrical Framework 2 to award CLP Group FS a £150k, 36-month agreement covering small-scale electrical projects and domestic property works.

In waste and sustainability, Slough Borough Council has appointed Grundon Waste Management for its Borough-Wide Food Waste Collection and Disposal Service, valued at £3.54m over 36 months, serving around 55,000 homes. The contract ensures efficient and environmentally compliant waste processing across the borough. Supporting water management innovation, Calico Group Ltd has entered into a £572k, 48-month call-off with Scottish Water Business Stream under the Crown Commercial Services RM6306 Framework, securing end-to-end Water, Wastewater, and Ancillary Services.

On the domestic front, Nottinghamshire County Council has rolled out multiple Cleaning and Associated Services in Domestic Settings framework agreements across several lots, collectively valued at £80k per lot over 36 months. Providers including Axis Recruitment, Sparklean, Litania Healthcare, Derbyshire Community Care, Mathoe Cleaning, Klean Enterprises, and Cepheus Care will support hospital discharge and home safety initiatives through deep cleaning, clearance, and garden maintenance services across South, Mid, and North Nottinghamshire. In the East Midlands, North West Leicestershire District Council has appointed Another Level Scaffolding (Midlands) under a £2m, 24-month Scaffolding Services contract to support its in-house repairs team with safe access solutions.

Meanwhile, Reading Borough Council has awarded Riverside Environmental Services an £800k, 48-month call-off for Asbestos Management, Reinspection, and Demolition Surveys, ensuring compliance across its housing stock. Also strengthening estate maintenance, Bromford Flagship Ltd has finalised a £332k, 36-month call-off to Snape Contracting Services for Planned Maintenance, Repair and Replacement of Boundary Systems, covering fencing and masonry across multiple English regions.

In the West Midlands, Wolverhampton Homes has appointed BAX Construction under a £120k, 5-month General Building contract, delivering responsive and remedial repairs, particularly for disrepair claim works across occupied and empty homes. Rounding off this batch, Grŵp Cynefin has awarded W F Clayton a £158k, 6-month Re-Roofing Programme 2025–2026 to upgrade 15 individual dwellings across its Welsh housing stock by March 2026.
