Accelerating household energy support, Liverpool City Council has made a 4‑month, £470k Energy Efficiency – Delivery of Household Support Fund 2025–2026 Lot 2 call‑off to Next Energy Solutions, covering boiler repairs or replacements and a pilot damp and mould reduction project using preventative measures in case‑study properties. Folkestone & Hythe District Council has let a £1.17m, 24‑month Fire Protection Works Programme 2026–2027 to Bell Group for fire doors, compartmentation, fire‑stopping, bin‑store enclosures, loft hatches and associated safety works across tenanted homes, communal areas, sheltered schemes and leasehold blocks.
Supporting safe vertical transport, Nottingham City Council has awarded Morris Vermaport a £640k, 48‑month Passenger Lift Repairs & Maintenance (Housing) CPU 7235 contract to provide 24/7 planned and reactive maintenance, remedial works and associated fabric alterations to housing lifts. Aspire Housing Limited features twice, with Security and Fire Experts (SAFE) receiving a £206k, 24‑month Fire Equipment Servicing ID550 direct award across its North West and West Midlands stock, and J. Harper and Sons (Leominster) delivering the £2.78m, 14‑month Bath Road – Development 14x Units ID545 design‑and‑build scheme for 12 semi‑detached homes and 2 apartments plus full site infrastructure.
Reinforcing sustainability and infrastructure, New Forest District Council has engaged Wessex Electricals (Shaftesbury) on a £70.51k, 7‑month Photovoltaics Replacement at Barfields Court project to decommission ageing solar arrays, install high‑performance PV systems and integrate them with existing electrics, supporting long‑term renewable generation. In Scotland, East Lothian Council has set up a £800k, 24‑month Groundworks Framework with Hillhouse Quarry Group, P1 Solutions, Crummock Surfacing and J H Civil Engineering to deliver slabbing and tarmac works, concrete steps, handrails and manhole renewals to council housing estates.
Completing today’s batch, Folkestone & Hythe District Council has also awarded G. Baker Roofing a £98k, 7‑month Flat Roofing Contract 2025–2026 for main and tank‑house flat roof installations at Kingsbridge Court and flats 56–60 Black Bull Road in Folkestone, guided by detailed surveys and technical drawings.
