The latest wave of housing contract awards highlight significant investments across energy efficiency, fire safety, and asset improvements.

Marking a strong commitment to estate renewal, Cassiltoun Housing Association Ltd. has awarded a £1.31m contract to MSi Scotland for the replacement of uPVC windows and composite/fire doors within occupied homes across Castlemilk. Running for 7 months, the works include supply, installation, and associated alterations, with options for annual extensions until 2030, ensuring long-term housing quality and compliance.

Driving forward energy efficiency, Bassetlaw District Council has confirmed a £2.3m award to Phoenix Gas Services under the Warm Homes Local Grant retrofit programme. Spanning 48 months, this procurement covers servicing, maintenance, and installation of heating and hot water systems, all to PAS 2035:2023 standards. The scheme will deliver retrofit upgrades across Bassetlaw and Bolsover, tackling fuel poverty and supporting decarbonisation objectives.

On the fire safety front, Bath and North East Somerset Council has secured ABCA Systems to deliver a £5m Fire & Security Systems Framework lasting 48 months. The framework encompasses a wide spectrum of works including fire alarms, sprinklers, access control, intruder systems, fire doors, and alarm monitoring services across schools, libraries, care facilities, leisure centres, historic buildings, and council housing stock, reinforcing compliance and resident safety.

Strengthening asset management, Bolton at Home has let a £3.13m Mould Survey, Treatment and Associated Works Framework to six suppliers: The Dwelling Doctor, Quality Services Today, Domestic Air, GME Painting Contractors, Seddon Construction, and Bell Group. Over 48 months, this open-tender framework will address damp and mould remediation, with awards based on MEAT criteria balancing quality, social value, and pricing, ensuring healthier homes across the North West and East Midlands.

Completing the round, Housing 21 has awarded a £187k contract to M&J Group (Construction & Roofing) for pitched roof replacement works, including fascia, soffits, and solar panel installations. With a 2-month term and a multi-regional scope across England, the project was procured under Section 87(2) of the Procurement Act, demonstrating efficient delivery of smaller-scale housing improvements below threshold values.
