Leading a significant regional effort, Regenda Group has awarded a £1.07m contract spanning 60 months to six suppliers including GTM Property Maintenance, Metro Rod, and Rothwell Plumbing Services for Plumbing and Heating Works across social housing stock in Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire, and Greater Manchester. This call-off stems from their M&Y Maintenance and Construction DPS, aiming to ensure service continuity across all listed regions.
Focusing on energy upgrades in sheltered housing, Hillingdon London Borough selected PFL Electrical for a £219k contract over four months to replace outdated underfloor heating and hot water systems at Sibley Court with modern electric radiators and cylinders, enhancing tenant comfort and energy efficiency.
For vertical transport infrastructure, Bristol City Council awarded a £4m, 48-month Lift Maintenance and LOLERS contract to Stannah Lifts, covering servicing and statutory inspections across its residential housing portfolio—ensuring continued compliance and tenant safety.
Addressing life-saving fire protection systems, Renfrewshire Council has signed a 36-month, £120k contract with Vipond Fire Protection to deliver planned maintenance and reactive repairs to sprinkler systems in public buildings, safeguarding operational readiness.
Supporting safe environments, North Yorkshire Council appointed European Asbestos Services for a £10m, 36-month Asbestos Abatement Service to deliver encapsulation, planned works, and responsive repairs. The contract adheres to British Standards and allows optional extensions up to 2032, offering flexibility amidst ongoing local government reorganisation.
Driving new housing development, Weaver Vale Housing Trust has entrusted Chapter WBL with a £6.78m Land & Build Package at Bakers Lane, covering land acquisition (£1.1m) and construction services (£5.53m), alongside a development services agreement.
Finally, enhancing supply chain efficiency, East Suffolk Council awarded Edmundson Electrical a £2.5m, 36-month Electrical Materials Supplier contract to support depot and site-based housing repairs with stockholding, delivery, and fixed-rate counter access.
