Kicking off with a practical upgrade, CURO has awarded a £480k contract to IDM Doors for the reactive supply and installation of windows and doors across its South West housing stock. This targeted investment enhances energy efficiency and security standards for tenants. Moving into facilities support, Bassetlaw District Council has appointed Hi-Spec Facilities Services for a £309.9k cleaning services contract covering both General Fund and Housing Revenue Account properties. This East Midlands-based arrangement ensures the upkeep of communal and residential environments across the district.
In a major step forward for affordable housing delivery, Kingdom Housing Association Ltd. has awarded a £5.82m contract to Barratt East Scotland for the acquisition of new homes in Craigtoun (Phase 3). Working alongside Fife Council, this negotiated procedure supports the association’s long-term regeneration goals under a developer-led model in Scotland. Fueling regeneration at the town centre level, Erewash Borough Council is partnering with MyPad 2020 through a £2.34m contract to redevelop the Galaxy Row site in Long Eaton. The East Midlands project will leverage Town Deal funding to deliver a high-quality, mixed-use urban infill scheme in a key district location.
Delivering vital building improvements, Choice Housing has appointed Michael Donaghy PD for a £977k refurbishment of Corkey House in Belfast. This comprehensive MEI works package includes internal alterations, ensuite conversions, fire safety upgrades, roofing enhancements, insulation improvements, and site-wide decorative repairs – all in alignment with NI Building Regulations. Bringing planned external works to scale, Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council has awarded a £4m contract to Sureserve Energy Services UK, Highview Group, and CWG Group. This East Anglia initiative, split into three specialist lots, encompasses insulation works, roof replacements, and new window and door installations across the borough’s housing portfolio.

Closing with a fire safety priority, Your Housing Group has engaged Keegans under a £2m contract to deliver Fire Engineering Consultancy Services. Covering the North West, Yorkshire and the Humber, East Midlands, and West Midlands, the scope includes ESW1 assessments and Fire Risk Appraisals of External Walls (FRAEW) over a 36-month period, with two optional one-year extensions.
