Spearheading responsive repairs and planned works, Unity Housing Association Ltd. has selected Equans Regeneration for a £15m contract covering responsive repairs, void management, and planned maintenance services across Leeds and Kirklees. This 108-month contract was awarded through direct selection under the EN Procure Framework for Installation, Servicing, Maintenance, and Repair Works (Lot 7A). The contract ensures comprehensive support for Unity Housing’s housing stock, providing long-term asset management and a seamless delivery of essential repair and maintenance operations. Revitalizing residential standards, Pilon has been called off for a £5m contract by Stevenage Borough Council to deliver critical kitchen and bathroom replacement works under the council’s Decent Homes Programme. The 36-month contract focuses on refurbishing approximately 150 properties annually, supporting Stevenage’s commitment to modern housing standards, resident satisfaction, and the long-term sustainability of its social housing portfolio.

Enhancing void turnaround times, DCK Construction has been awarded a £760k contract over 12 months by Haringey London Borough. The scope of works includes void property upgrades for acquisition properties, ensuring they meet lettable standards for residential use. This procurement also aligns with Haringey’s drive to boost housing supply, with this opportunity publicly distributed it reflects transparency and competitive tendering processes. Improving building security and access, East Suffolk Council has called off F. Bamford (Engineering) – Bamford Doors to upgrade communal entrance doors in Waveney. This £600k contract, spanning 35 months, underscores East Suffolk’s commitment to enhancing resident safety and modernising communal building elements to align with current safety and accessibility regulations.

Transforming Brixton’s urban landscape, London Square Developments has entered a deed of variation with Lambeth London Borough under an existing development agreement, now valued at £161.98m. The project focuses on regenerating 49 Brixton Station Road and 6 Canterbury Crescent, aligning with local planning policies for mixed-use regeneration schemes. Adjustments include a reduction of affordable housing provision from 50% to 40%, modifications to commercial workspace, and a revised land receipt in line with updated financial modeling. The variation, compliant with Regulation 72 of PCR15, ensures the continued viability and deliverability of this major scheme while observing a formal standstill period under Regulations 92 to 104 of PCR15. Bolstering passive fire protection and regulatory compliance, Southampton City Council has awarded a £9m contract to CLC Contractors for fire safety works under the Procurement for Housing Fire Safety Works Framework – Lot 7. This 36-month contract, with potential extensions, will provide whole-house fire safety upgrades while ensuring service continuity with a trusted incumbent provider. The procurement complies with Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and highlights Southampton’s dedication to safeguarding tenants and reducing fire-related risks in their housing stock. 

Advancing health and safety compliance, East Lothian Council has directly awarded Aspect Contracts a £1.1m, 32-month contract under the Scotland Excel Framework 0722 – Lot 2 for asbestos removal services in council housing. This critical project safeguards tenant well-being while ensuring compliance with hazardous materials regulations and supporting East Lothian’s wider housing maintenance strategy. Supporting supply chain resilience and operational efficiency, 3Line Electrical Wholesale has been chosen by Flagship Housing Ltd under a £5m, 24-month contract to supply essential electrical materials. The award, made under the PfH Materials & Associated Managed Services Framework (Lot 5 – National Consortia for Independent Merchants), guarantees ongoing support for responsive repairs and planned maintenance across Flagship’s housing portfolio in the East of England.
