Strengthening housing performance in the East Midlands, Mansfield District Council has awarded Nationwide Windows (UK) a £2.3m contract for the survey, manufacture, and installation of PVCU doors and windows across its housing portfolio. Nearby, Chesterfield Borough Council has also appointed Graham Holmes Astraseal on an £700k call-off contract to supply and install new windows and doors, enhancing comfort and energy efficiency for local residents.

Expanding renewable initiatives, Gentoo Group Ltd has appointed Next Gen Eco Solutions under a £673k, five-year solar PV maintenance and safety framework covering cleaning, meshing, and thermal panel replacement across properties in the North East and Yorkshire & Humber.

In the North East, Durham County Council has awarded Ventilation Hygiene Specialists a £227k, 24-month framework for the maintenance, repair, and testing of kitchen ventilation systems and ductwork across more than 180 public buildings and educational sites, ensuring compliance, safety, and year-round operational support.

Across the Midlands, two housing bodies have invested in lift refurbishments — Redditch Borough Council has partnered with Stannah Lift Services on an £80k refurbishment through its AVVC contract, while North Northamptonshire Council appointed RJ Lifts Group for £44.7k emergency electrical works at The Lawns sheltered accommodation in Kettering to restore essential services for elderly tenants.

In Bolsover, Dragonfly Management Ltd has named VPS (UK) to provide property security services for council-owned assets, safeguarding vacant, fire-damaged, or emergency-affected properties across the district. Scotland’s Highland Council has launched a major £28.1m, five-year framework for waste haulage services, appointing Bowmans (Locheil Logistics), Gogar Services, and A.W. Jenkinson Transport to deliver residual, bulky, and WUDS material logistics across the region.

Meanwhile, in London, Merton Council renewed its £650k hazardous waste disposal contract with City of London, continuing safe and compliant waste management operations. In Northern Ireland, Woven (formerly Habinteg Housing Association) has awarded Alex Properties a £14.1m land-led design and build contract for new social housing within NIHE Area Waterside (1, 2, 3), supporting high-quality residential developments in Derry/Londonderry.

Delivering large-scale remediation, Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing (MTVH) appointed Lawtech Group for an £11.9m building remediation project in the East Midlands, covering pre-construction and design-and-build phases. In London, Enfield Council selected Glenman Corporation for the £11m Dendridge Close development, procuring through the NHG Development Contractors Framework to deliver mixed-tenure housing across two sites.

Driving regeneration in the North East, Tees Valley Combined Authority has chosen Tarras Park Properties as its development partner for the £2m Gresham regeneration under the Middlesbrough Development Corporation — a transformative project set to reshape a key gateway site through partnership and innovation.

Ensuring compliance across the South East, New Forest District Council has finalised a £509k, four-year multi-supplier framework for asbestos-related services, appointing The Testing Lab, Casa Environmental Services, Envirochem Analytical Laboratories, Allium Environmental, European Asbestos Services, and Aspect Contracts to manage asbestos surveys, removal, and legal obligations during responsive repairs and planned works.

Rounding out this week’s awards, ateb Group Ltd has announced a £7.5m, three-year External Building Works Framework, partnering with W.B. Griffiths & Son, Property Building Maintenance (Wales), and Cardo (Wales & West) for roofing, landscaping, and general external works across its housing stock in Wales.
