Boosting energy efficiency in the North West, Wythenshawe Community Housing Group has commissioned Sustainable Building Services (UK) for a £2.58m contract covering retrofit services under the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund. The 11-month initiative includes facade improvements, window and door replacements, roofing enhancements, and electrical upgrades to improve thermal performance and reduce carbon emissions.

Progressing decent homes initiatives, Southend-on-Sea Borough Council has awarded a £780k contract to Pilon for vital kitchen, bathroom, and electrical rewiring upgrades across its housing stock. Spanning 69 months, the project supports the council’s Decent Homes programme and focuses on improving internal standards across residential properties in East Anglia.

Delivering new housing solutions, West Kent Housing Association has appointed Jenner (Contractors) under a £4.49m contract to design and build 13 new homes at Mills Crescent, Kent. The 16-month project will support the association’s housing development strategy and includes full design, construction, and associated works across the South East region.

This South West project will focus on removing hazardous materials to ensure healthier living conditions across the housing portfolio.

Driving urban regeneration, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council has awarded Wessex Demolition & Salvage a £750k contract for demolition and associated works at the Constitution Hill site. Lasting 15 months, the works include asbestos removal, tree protection and removal, utility disconnection, and site boundary preparation.
