Major upgrades are underway in Richmond, London, as RHP (Richmond Housing Partnership) has awarded a £1.88m contract to Polyteck Building Services. Spanning 48 months, this investment will deliver 250 kitchen and 80 bathroom replacements, aligned with the Decent Homes Standard. The project also includes potential electrical and boiler upgrades, ensuring long-term compliance and comfort for residents. 

North Northamptonshire Council is setting the bar high with a landmark £255m investment in waste treatment and recycling services. A swift 2-month specialist works programme has been initiated by Kirklees Council, engaging Allerton Damp-Proofing for essential damp proofing and plastering at Eastlands in Almondbury. While no contract value has been disclosed, the quick-turnaround project underlines the authority’s focus on responsive housing maintenance. Thurrock Borough Council is spearheading a transformative redevelopment with a £13.67m investment over 42 months at Teviot Avenue, South Ockendon. Awarded to Marfleet and Blyth, the project includes demolition and new construction of 48 affordable homes, consisting of 30 houses and 18 apartments, supporting housing supply and regeneration in the RM15 postcode.

In Driffield, East Riding of Yorkshire Council is reimagining sheltered living through an £10.52m contract with Hobson & Porter. Over 18 months, the works include demolishing existing flats and building a modern sheltered housing complex with 40 flats, parking for 22 vehicles, and EV charging, all aligned with building regulations and energy efficiency standards. Northern Ireland sees a significant land-led social housing initiative take shape as Woven (formerly Habinteg Housing Association) commissions Brendan Loughran Sons for a £8.41m, 36-month project in Coleraine. This competitive design-and-build scheme will deliver 70–80 units on a single site, with full planning in place—marking a key step in community expansion and development.

The Arc Partnership is enhancing compliance across the Midlands and North through a £800k, 2-year asbestos analyst consultancy framework, awarded to Kordus Consulting, BDA Surveying, and Acorn Analytical Services. Administered by Scape Group, this framework supports asbestos analysis and compliance reporting across properties in Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire, and more, with optional extension years and mini-competition call-offs. South Kesteven District Council continues its commitment to health and safety with an £800k contract under the Northern Housing Consortium framework, engaging Mchale Contracts and Plant Environmental. This award covers asbestos, legionella, and mould management services, reinforcing environmental compliance and resident wellbeing across the council’s housing stock.
