Major Investments Drive Growth in Social Housing: Key Contracts Awarded Across Construction, Safety, and Sustainability.

Clyde Valley Housing Association Ltd. has awarded AC Gold Electrical Services a £671k contract for a Two Year Void Property Refurbishment and Maintenance project across Lanarkshire, Glasgow, and East Dunbartonshire. The contract focuses on property repairs, electrical upgrades, and essential compliance work to bring vacant social housing units back into use efficiently, addressing the growing demand for affordable housing solutions. To enhance fire safety in social housing, Town & Country Housing Group has appointed RGE Services for a £2.25m Fire System and Warden Call Maintenance contract over 36 months. This contract covers installation, servicing, and repair of fire detection systems, warden call technology, and emergency alarms, ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations and improving tenant security across housing schemes in the South East.

As part of a major urban regeneration initiative, BAM Building and Infrastructure has secured a £22.13m contract from Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council for the Transforming Nuneaton – Abbey Street Construction Phase 2 project. Over the next nine months, the contract will focus on the design, construction, and fit-out of modern mixed-use buildings, contributing to the revitalization of Warwickshire’s urban infrastructure and boosting economic development through housing and commercial space creation.

The push for sustainable housing solutions continues with the Southern Modular Framework, awarded by Hampshire County Council to MRC Modular, Reds10 (UK), Rollalong, and Vision Building Services. This £5.6m modular housing framework will support the delivery of high-quality prefabricated homes, addressing the need for rapid, cost-effective, and energy-efficient housing for the next four years.

West Kent Housing Association has awarded Cablesheer Homes a £706k contract for the Design and Construction of New Homes over a 14-month period in Kent. The project emphasizes affordable housing development, integrating energy-efficient designs and sustainable building methods to enhance housing stock availability while reducing operational energy costs for tenants. Meanwhile, Riverside has awarded a £3.8m, 48-month framework to multiple firms for fire safety consultancy in High-Risk Residential Buildings (HRRBs) Framework across England. The contract covers measured surveys, fire engineering, structural surveys, remedial logging, and fire risk assessments. Winning firms include Frankham Consultancy Group, Ridge and Partners, Rider Levett Bucknall UK, IFI Group, and Civic Engineers, providing fire compliance services and risk assessments to enhance safety in Riverside’s high-rise social housing stock.
