A major procurement drive sees LHC appoint multiple suppliers under its highly anticipated Retrofit and Decarbonisation Framework (N9), valued at a substantial £460m (England), £120m (Scotland), and £80m (Wales) over 48 months, this agreement taps into a pool of 94 winning suppliers for England, 163 suppliers for Scotland and 136 suppliers for Wales. Replacing the previous N8 frameworks, this comprehensive solution delivers consultancy, retrofit, and energy efficiency services across the UK. The framework covers six core areas, starting with consultancy services for energy strategy, grant funding, and PAS 2035 and PAS 2038 audits. It also includes multi-disciplinary works, building insulation is a key feature, offering internal, loft, cavity wall, and external wall insulation, along with rainscreen cladding. Heating and ventilation works cover domestic and commercial heating, district networks, renewable technologies like heat pumps, and building ventilation systems. The framework further supports clients with building management systems and metering, as well as solar PV installations, energy storage systems (EESS), and EV charging infrastructure. 

A targeted improvement programme has been launched by GreenSquareAccord for the Phase 2 Supply and Installation of Windows and Doors at the Somerford Site, worth £196k over a 5-month period. The contract, awarded to Sovereign Group, focuses on replacing and installing windows, doors, and AOVs in accordance with British Standards. Strengthening asset management and tenant satisfaction, Hillingdon London Borough has awarded its Kitchen and Bathroom Replacement Programme – Lot 4 to Pilon, valued at £150k over 36 months. As a back-up contractor across all postcode areas in the borough, Pilon will deliver phased kitchen and bathroom upgrades in various housing properties, supporting the Council’s efforts to modernise housing interiors while complying with JCT MTC 2016 standards.

Bolstering compliance in essential services, Bromford Housing Association Limited has issued a Water Hygiene Contract covering the East Midlands, South East, South West, and West Midlands. This £300k agreement, has been called off to HBE (UK) for 6 months, ensures the effective monitoring and management of water hygiene risks, contributing to tenant safety and regulatory compliance across its diverse housing portfolio. Addressing seasonal outdoor upkeep, Beyond Housing Ltd has appointed Groundwork NE & Cumbria for a 6-month Ground Maintenance Services contract, worth £239k. The project will cover 14 North East locations, encompassing routine grass cutting, shrub maintenance, invasive weed control, wetland management, and other environmental services, supporting community well-being and property upkeep.

Rounding out the latest announcements, Shropshire Council has entrusted RSK Environment with an Asbestos Consultancy, Surveying and Monitoring Works contract valued at £375k for 36 months. This critical service will help the council meet its legal obligations around asbestos management, ensuring safe and compliant housing environments.
