Asset upgrade works are progressing in East Suffolk where Victorian 2 Storey Chalets – Door Renewal Project has been awarded by East Suffolk Council to P. J. Spillings (Builders) for £74.6k. The contract will deliver door replacement works to Victorian two-storey chalet properties.

Accessibility improvement works continue in the East Midlands with Ashfield District Council awarding Building – Adaptation Works – Lot 6 (Call-off) to Ven Construction for £58k. The project covers adaptation works to improve accessibility within residential properties.

Fire safety compliance programmes continue in the South West where Coastline Housing has appointed Briggs Fire & Security under Active Fire – April 2026 – Lot 3.1 & 3.5 (Call-off), a £180k contract over 36 months covering active fire safety systems maintenance.

Building upgrade works are also progressing through Defined Works at Park Heights where The Guinness Partnership has appointed Core Media Services for £100k to undertake builder’s works supporting MVHR replacement and heating system upgrades.

Major regeneration delivery continues in Scotland as Edinburgh City Council has awarded Pennywell Town Centre – Works Order (Call-off) to CCG (Scotland) in a £23.01m contract over 27 months. The project will deliver 90 new homes, commercial units and public realm improvements as part of the wider Pennywell and Muirhouse regeneration programme.

Renewable energy installations are also progressing in the North East where Newcastle City Council has appointed Blue Leaf Energy Services for Solar PV Panels/System for West Denton Children’s Home, a £60k project installing solar PV systems to improve energy efficiency.

Care infrastructure investment continues in the South West with Gloucestershire County Council appointing EG Carter for Delivery of a New Care Home – Valley Road (Call-off) valued at £18m over 33 months.

Maintenance frameworks are also being expanded with Westward Housing Group establishing a Scaffolding Framework 2024, appointing contractors including DR Jones Yeovil, Elite Access Scaffolding and Woodys Scaffolding for £500k to deliver scaffolding services across housing stock throughout the South West.

Property conversion works continue in the North East where Gateshead Metropolitan Borough Council has awarded Fell View Refurbishment (Call-off) to Able Construction (Northern) for £376k. The project will convert a four-bedroom property into a children’s home through refurbishment and M&E upgrades.

Compliance monitoring remains a priority with Bassetlaw District Council appointing Tersus Consultancy for Asbestos Services, a £150k contract delivering asbestos surveying and analytical services across housing assets.

Environmental improvement works are progressing in Nottingham with Fenton Court Works – Assisted Living Garden and Pathway Renovation awarded by Nottingham City Council to Trust Utility Management for £73k to improve outdoor accessibility for assisted living residents.

Building envelope upgrades are also underway with Housing 21 appointing £58.3k to Ewis (UK) for Insulated External Render Panelling / Cladding Works, delivering insulated external render systems at Corcoran Close.
