Driving large-scale housing improvement across the North, North Yorkshire Council has launched a £37.5m Building Retrofit & Refurbishment Framework to accelerate energy-efficient housing upgrades countywide. In Yorkshire, City of Doncaster Council has appointed Equans Regeneration for a £20m Retrofit and Improvement Works contract to deliver internal and external housing repairs and energy efficiency upgrades. Meanwhile, Yorkshire Housing has rolled out a £1.33m Drains and Mains Water Services framework appointing Drain Doctor Bradford, Dyno Rod, Easaway Draincare UK, and Metro Rod to provide reactive and planned drainage maintenance, including unblocking, CCTV surveys, and water supply repairs across domestic and commercial housing stock.

In the North West, Wigan Council has awarded A. Connolly and BAAS Construction a £7.36m Planned Cyclical Maintenance contract, followed by a £13.64m Damp & Mould Remedial Works contract exclusively to A. Connolly. Both awards support estate-wide maintenance, improving living standards, and ensuring healthy homes through proactive repairs and environmental remediation.

Continuing cyclical improvement programmes, GreenSquareAccord has selected Novus Property Solutions and Trident Maintenance Services for a £7.35m Decorations and Minor Repairs Framework running for up to eight years, sustaining asset quality across the West Midlands.

Strengthening inclusive housing adaptations, Glasgow City Council has awarded Prism UK Medical a £3.17m Track Hoist Systems contract spanning multiple councils and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. The contract includes supply, installation, servicing, and digital asset management through the ELMS2 platform, enhancing accessibility in homes across central Scotland.

Supporting estate management, University of Leicester has appointed Chase Services Group, Crystal Facilities Management, and Hygeniq Solutions under a £1.2m Reactive Cleaning Services Framework, ensuring high cleanliness standards across academic and residential properties.

Delivering new supported housing, Plymouth City Council has commissioned Devon Contractors for a £9.74m Adult Social Care Facility at Meadow View, providing modern, accessible day and residential care accommodation. Nearby, Teignbridge District Council has selected Nevada Construction for a £5.98m Passivhaus Plus-certified development of 23 flats at Sherborne House, integrating high energy performance standards into local authority housing.
