The latest round of social housing contract awards highlights major investments in housing stock improvement, compliance, and resident services.

Kicking off with a significant award, North Lanarkshire Council has confirmed a £45m contract for Window & Doors Replacement 2025–2027, spanning 48 months. Sidey Solutions and Walker Profiles have been appointed to deliver the measured term framework, which covers the removal and disposal of existing fittings and the installation of UPVC and timber windows and doors across domestic properties. The contract, split into two lots, ensures strategic delivery within occupied homes, driving compliance and energy efficiency across the council’s housing stock. Strengthening energy systems, it has also finalised a £40m, 48-month contract for Full Gas Heating Installations 2025–2029. Saltire Facilities Management and Gas Call Services will oversee the removal and replacement of boilers, radiators, pipework, and related works. This major procurement opportunity, structured across two lots valued at £24m and £16m respectively, underpins the council’s commitment to modernising heating infrastructure, enhancing safety, and supporting decarbonisation goals across its homes.

Adding specialist service capacity, Paradigm Housing Group Ltd. has awarded a £450k, 36-month contract to Jackson Lift Services for Lift Maintenance & Repair. Secured via a PFH DPS call-off, the contract ensures reliable lift performance and responsive repair coverage across its housing stock. Building further resilience in vertical transport systems, it has also appointed The Chiltern Lift Company under a parallel £450k, 36-month Lift and Maintenance Repair call-off contract. This procurement ensures competitive delivery, ongoing compliance, and high service quality across a diverse housing portfolio, reinforcing Paradigm’s focus on asset management.

Concluding with a large-scale service award, Karbon Homes has secured a £10m, 48-month Furniture Supply and Services contract with Furniture Resource Centre. The supplier will provide residential furniture, white goods, and household essentials, with delivery, installation, waste removal, and maintenance included. The agreement also covers cyclical replacement of items on a four-year cycle, alongside a responsive replacement service for faulty goods, ensuring residents benefit from consistent quality, sustainability, and efficient asset reuse.
