Delivering one of Scotland’s most ambitious housing projects, Aberdeen City Council has appointed Ogilvie Construction to a £45.16m new-build housing contract at Kincorth. Spanning two years, the scheme will create approximately 195 high-quality social homes, meeting Gold Technical Standards and advancing the city’s affordable housing programme. Expanding affordable homeownership options, The Guinness Partnership has entered into a £7.46m land and build package deal with Stancliffe Homes for 35 homes in Calow, Chesterfield. The scheme includes 16 rental and 19 shared ownership properties and involves both land acquisition and construction under a JCT Design & Build agreement. Focusing on out-of-borough housing stock, Harrow Council awarded J.C. Property Services London a £413k, contract for repairs, maintenance, and void works to PAP properties. The agreement ensures responsive upkeep and disrepair management beyond the borough’s main geographic area.
In Winchester, Property Matters Southern secured a £223k contract for planned kitchen renewals across Area 5. Running through 2025–2026, the project targets property upgrades in the southern part of the Winchester City Council. Providing sustained maintenance, Muirhouse Housing Association has appointed Harbour Multi-Trades for a £144k, contract covering repairs and void maintenance across its stock. The agreement runs for up to five years, reflecting long-term service delivery needs. Enhancing building integrity, Jennings Roofing has been chosen by Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust for a £138k reroofing project at Dower Court. The contract was awarded via the EN:Procure Roofing Framework as part of a mini competition.
In Dunfermline, Fife Council selected Campion Homes to deliver 41 new council homes at Elgin Street. The scheme, set to complete by May 2027, includes wheelchair-accessible and special needs housing designed to meet community demand. Pioneering energy-efficient housing, Somerset Council has commenced work with Ashcot Construction on 24 low-cost Passivhaus homes at Cherry Grove, Frome. All homes are offered below market rate and will be ready by April 2026. Celebrating a major milestone, Sheffield Housing Company and partner Keepmoat Homes announced the completion of over 1,500 new homes across 17 sites, including the latest at Malthouses in Parson Cross. The partnership continues to drive Sheffield’s regeneration with a total goal of 2,300 homes by 2026. Finally, Southwark Council has partnered with Elkins Construction to begin internal and external refurbishments to 72 homes at Priory Court in SE15. The project marks a significant step in modernising housing stock across the borough.
