Starting off with Flagship Housing, CLC Contractors has been appointed for a £56k Building Works and Adaptations project at 10 Charles Close, Toftwood, under the association’s Dynamic Purchasing System. The short-term four-month contract covers building works, specialist supplies, and consultancy services, ensuring responsive and inclusive housing modifications that support tenant needs across East Anglia.
Marking a substantial multi-lot award, Riverside has selected several leading specialists to deliver its Compliance Quality Assurance Services framework, valued at £1.9m per lot and running for 36 months across England. The appointed firms include Morgan Lambert for Gas Safety Audits and Electrical inspections, Socotec Asbestos for Asbestos Surveys, Firntec for Fire Risk Assessment, and Cundall for Lifts & Servicing. This large-scale initiative underpins Riverside’s proactive approach to maintaining compliance across its housing stock — ensuring safety, regulatory accuracy, and quality assurance in every trade discipline.
Meanwhile, Derbyshire County Council has awarded ABCA Systems a £207k contract over 24 months for the Repair and Maintenance of Powered Pedestrian Doors (PRP274). The agreement includes servicing, remedial work, and emergency response across public buildings such as libraries, schools, and homes for older people, guaranteeing uninterrupted access and safety compliance across the county.
In the Yorkshire region, Sheffield City Council has finalised its Tree Management Framework, appointing six contractors — Acme Arb, DB Tree Care, Oakbrook Services, Sheffield Tree Care, Silver Oak Arboriculture, and Thompson Tree Services (UK). The £5m framework, spanning 48 months, will cover tree inspections, maintenance, and removals across Sheffield’s urban landscape, supporting biodiversity and public safety initiatives.
Further south, Tamworth Borough Council continues its investment in compliance and infrastructure resilience through multiple awards. Sureserve Compliance Water secured a £200k, five-year contract under the Fusion21 Building Safety & Compliance Framework to deliver Legionella Monitoring and Control Services, ensuring ongoing water safety in residential properties. Additionally, Geobear Residential was directly awarded £43k to provide Stabilisation Solutions under the Procurement for Housing Framework, applying innovative ground improvement techniques to strengthen property foundations.
In the West Midlands, Orbit Group awarded 4th Corner a £113k, 11-month Grounds Maintenance contract, covering estates across the South and West Midlands — enhancing green spaces and estate environments through structured maintenance programmes.
Lastly, Peabody Trust commissioned Gleneast UK for a £147k, 11-month construction project to replace five shop fronts at 34–42 Neal Street, London (WC2H 9PS). This upgrade supports Peabody’s focus on improving the visual and structural quality of its mixed-use assets within Greater London’s heritage zones.
