Kicking off an impactful wave of contract awards, East Lindsey District Council has entrusted Sureserve Energy Services UK with a £5.55m Warm Homes Project over 36 months. This far-reaching programme will deliver energy-efficiency upgrades across South and East Lincolnshire, enhancing warmth and sustainability for local communities under the Sustainable Warmth initiative.

Stepping into the decorative sphere, Hanover (Scotland) Housing Association has awarded Bell Group a £109k contract to carry out internal and external decoration works. Spanning just three months, this contract will refresh multiple housing developments in Banff, Aberdeen, and Lumphanan, ensuring high-quality finishes for tenants across these locations.

Boosting heating resilience, Accent Housing has named Rothwell Plumbing Services as winner of a £304k contract for gas boiler and central heating installations across the North East. This 24-month agreement aims to drive efficiency and safety within Accent’s housing portfolio, aligning with its corporate strategy.

Advancing electrical safety and modernisation, Aberdeen City Council has awarded a £634k contract to Maclin Electric for the rewiring and replacement of common area lighting in 13 multi-block sites. Scheduled for completion over eight months, the project will modernise communal spaces while improving energy performance.

Elevating mechanical and electrical service provision, New Gorbals Housing Association Ltd. has engaged PREAH Facilities Management through a £223k contract to maintain M&E systems across low-rise and high-rise stock. With a tenure of 36 months and options to extend, the scope includes air conditioning, pumps, alarms, smoke detectors, and solar PV servicing.

Driving forward property readiness, Broxtowe Borough Council has selected Matthews & Tannert to deliver void property refurbishment services under a £2.88m call-off contract lasting 12 months. Covering up to 20 homes annually, the works will prepare domestic properties for new tenants, with an option to extend by a further two years.

Finally, Berneslai Homes has awarded a robust scaffolding contract valued at £2.8m to Apply Scaffolding Services and CSR Scaffolding Services. Spanning 24 months with extension potential, this agreement will provide essential scaffolding design, supply, erection, maintenance, inspection, and disassembly across Barnsley Borough’s council housing portfolio, supporting safe and compliant repairs and upgrades.
