Commanding the spotlight, Milton Keynes Borough Council has awarded a £43.5m contract to Mears for wide-ranging Decarbonisation & Investment Works under a 49-month tenure. Procured through a Prosper framework, the project encompasses energy-efficiency retrofits like solar PV, ASHP/GSHP, insulation, heating upgrades, and damp remediation across the Netherfields area.

Modernising occupied homes with urgency, Thirteen Group has selected RE:GEN North East for an £5.31m, 11-month refurbishment programme that upgrades housing stock, enhances communal spaces, and extends asset lifespan at Turner & Owbridge Court in Yorkshire and the Humber.

Ensuring long-term asset maintenance, Nottingham City Council has appointed Premier Contractors (Southwest) for a £720k, 48-month call-off under the EEM DPS for property maintenance works. Tasks include rewires, kitchens, roofing, fire safety systems, damp works, drainage, and emergency repairs across 400 homes in the Nottingham City Homes portfolio.

Focusing on kitchen and bathroom renewals, Central Bedfordshire Council has handed CBM Group a £480k, 12-month contract to improve internal amenities across housing stock. Works are scheduled to commence by June 2025.

Streamlining waste management, Moat has enlisted AnyJunk and Wealden Services to deliver a £3.23m bulky and hazardous waste collection service over 36 months, spanning Greater London and South East regions with an option to extend for up to four more years.

Breathing new life into city housing, Bristol City Council has awarded Synergize a £4.49m contract over 24 months for a major refurbishment of Ropewalk House under its BSH/HRA capital programme.

Driving accessibility improvements, Leeds City Council has contracted William Birch & Sons for a £4.2m, 9-month refurbishment of Assisted Living Leeds, linked to a facility relocation to Waterside Road.
