The project involves refurbishing a variety of vacant council-owned homes – houses, flats, and bungalows across Ashford to meet the required re-occupancy standards. Upgrading essential living spaces, Stroud District Council has engaged Snape Contracting Services for a £850k, 24-month contract to carry out full kitchen and bathroom refurbishments. The scope includes installing level access showers, wet rooms, and adapted kitchens in council-owned housing stock throughout the district.
Enhancing gas safety and responsiveness, Rutherglen & Cambuslang Housing Association has entrusted City Technical Services UK with a £395k contract over 36 months for 3 Star Gas Service & Maintenance. The work covers annual gas servicing, safety certifications, and day-to-day reactive repairs across approximately 879 dwellings, with provisions for boiler renewals and emergency call-outs in the Scotland region. Powering up electrical resilience, Redditch Borough Council has awarded a £1.05m contract to Dodd Group (Midlands) for a 19-month Electrical Repairs, Maintenance & Installation framework. Delivered under the EEM0009 scheme, the works encompass routine and project-based electrical services across the council’s housing portfolio.
Elevating high-rise safety standards, Platform Housing Group has selected Guildmore to act as Principal Contractor for a £2.69m project at DeMontfort House in the East Midlands. This 17-month scheme focuses on building safety upgrades aligned with the Building Safety Act and includes associated works at the nearby Elizabeth House. Rounding off with broad structural enhancements, Colchester Borough Council has appointed Topcoat Construction (TCL Group) and Bell Group on a £445k, 12-month contract for general building works. The works include structural repairs, HHSRS safety compliance, roofing, external decorations, and more across the council’s housing stock in East Anglia.
