Momentum continues in the UK’s social housing procurement landscape, with a series of high-value contract awards focusing on maintenance, safety, and improvement works across multiple regions.

Leading the day’s developments, Bromford Flagship Ltd has advanced its property improvement efforts through two lots of a major planned replacement contract. The first, valued at £3.07m and awarded to Morgan and Bond, covers an 18-month programme of kitchen and bathroom replacements across the East Midlands, West Midlands, East Anglia, South East, and South West. Closely following, the second lot worth £1.97m has been awarded to Pilon for similar upgrade works, reinforcing Bromford’s long-term investment in modern, energy-efficient housing stock.

Turning to accessibility and independent living, Chorley Borough Council has appointed Stannah Lift Services under a five-year, £1.15m contract for stairlifts, lifting equipment, and property adaptations across the North West, delivered via the Northern Housing Consortium’s framework. In a parallel move, South Ribble Borough Council has also engaged Stannah Lift Services for a £700k, 60-month programme to enhance mobility and home accessibility through specialist lift installations and adaptations.

On the compliance front, Berneslai Homes has awarded Morgan Lambert a £184k, 24-month contract for independent gas and electrical quality assurance audits, ensuring stringent safety and emergency response across homes managed by the authority in Yorkshire and the Humber.

Strengthening community safety, East Riding of Yorkshire Council has procured Shield Security Services (Yorkshire) under a £1.22m, two-year framework for comprehensive security services, including key holding, mobile patrols, alarm response, and guarding for both occupied and vacant sites, extendable to North Lincolnshire Council.

Further west, Trivallis in Wales has selected Tremorfa for a £180k, 36-month fire safety maintenance contract covering a wide spectrum of systems – from PAT testing and sprinklers to emergency lighting and access control – to protect residents across Rhondda Cynon Taff and Cardiff Bay.

Continuing the focus on living standards, Midland Heart has announced multiple £1.23m, 60-month communal cleaning contracts, appointing Clean Green Cleaning Services, Chequers Contract Services, and Pinnacle FM to maintain cleanliness, safety, and tenant satisfaction across properties in the West Midlands, South West, and East Midlands.

A major national milestone comes from Hyde Group, which has formalised its Main Contractor Framework, appointing a consortium of leading firms including Galliford Try Construction, Wates Residential, Lovell Partnerships, Mulalley & Co., John Graham Construction, Hill Partnerships, and others. The £3bn, 60-month framework will support large-scale new build, refurbishment, and maintenance works across the UK, accessible to a wide range of public-sector organisations under Hyde’s strategic procurement partnership.

In the refurbishment domain, Scape Group, on behalf of Arc Property Services Partnership Ltd, has awarded Domino Commercial Interiors and Three Sixty Contractors a £2m, 24-month interior refurbishments framework, covering soft strip-outs, internal upgrades, and FF&E installation across sites in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, South Yorkshire, and Leicestershire.

Rounding off today’s awards, Chesterfield Borough Council has selected Harmony Fire for a £6m, 48-month contract for the supply and installation of fire safety products, reinforcing the council’s ongoing commitment to compliance and resident safety within its East Midlands housing portfolio.
