Driving forward affordable housing in Fife, Glenesk Homes has been appointed by Fife Council for the £5.42m design and build of 25 new social rent homes. This 18-month contract supports the council’s wider programme to increase affordable housing stock, with Glenesk granted the contract as the site’s landowner and developer. Revitalising East London’s housing landscape, Countryside Properties (UK) has secured a major £4.94m pre-construction services agreement with Tower Hamlets London Borough. The 64-month HAP Regeneration Scheme includes phased delivery of 407 homes, 109 of which will be affordable and a community building, underpinned by a council-developer partnership model balancing public investment and private risk.
Upgrading thermal performance in Chiswick, GreyLine Builders will deliver a £105k window replacement contract for Hounslow London Borough. The 6-month project includes fitting new uPVC windows at Egerton House along Sutton Court Road, with tertiary glazing facing the A4/M4 and internal-external redecoration included. Securing entry systems across Hull, ABCA Systems has won a £750k, 12-month contract from Hull City Council to maintain and upgrade controlled entry systems, magnetic locks, automated access points, roller shutters, and car park barriers. The award follows a direct call-off from the Procure Public framework, with the option to extend for another year.
Enhancing safety across emergency services sites, KDE has been selected for a £3m electrical maintenance and repair contract covering 35 months. Commissioned by Cheshire Constabulary on behalf of both the Police and Crime Commissioner and Cheshire Fire Authority, the contract includes 24/7 response for critical sites and covers cyclical servicing, reactive repairs, and ad-hoc projects up to £50k per job. Strengthening premises security in Scotland, Chase Services Group will provide manned security and keyholding services for East Ayrshire Council under a £2.66m, 24-month contract. The award supports safe, secure operations across council-managed facilities with trained personnel deployed across priority sites.
