Commanding the spotlight in long-term housing upkeep, Notting Hill Genesis has unveiled a colossal £1.5bn Repairs and Maintenance Works Framework set to span 48 months across Greater London, East Anglia, and the South East. The framework, awarded to Ian Williams, Axis Europe, Cardo (South), T Gilmartin, and Wates Property Services, will cover a comprehensive range of services including groundworks, heating, plumbing, electrical, adaptations, fire stopping, roofing, and more. Designed to support a wide range of tenure types — from general needs to market rent and care & support — this framework paves the way for scalable, multi-contractor call-offs lasting up to 15 years, driving quality outcomes for both Notting Hill Genesis and third-party users.

Pioneering inclusive home improvements, Kirklees Council has awarded a £9.79m contract for a Framework for Adapted Bathrooms, Standard Bathrooms and Anti-Slip Flooring. The 48-month agreement will see multiple suppliers — including Ian Williams, REGEN Yorkshire & East Midlands, Partnering in Property Maintenance, and Brighouse Flooring Co — deliver bathroom refurbishments and flooring solutions across three distinct Lots to homes throughout the borough, ensuring accessibility and safety for all residents.

Delivering crucial upgrades to housing stock, Leeds City Council has entrusted Complete Construction and Design with a £500k contract to replace external doors and windows under a 12-month tenure. The works cover UPVC, composite, and wood-based units across properties requiring end-of-life replacements.

Transforming retirement living with care, North Lanarkshire Council has awarded Clark Contracts a £1.49m contract to refurbish Phyllis Jane Court at Drummond Drive, Wishaw. Over a 13-month timeline, the project will establish “Retirement Housing Plus” standards through internal and external upgrades — including dementia-friendly communal areas, enhanced lighting, FD60s fire doors, landscaping, accessible kitchens, DDA-compliant restrooms, and new furnishings — all tailored to support independent living for elderly residents.

Ensuring vertical mobility is maintained efficiently, East Renfrewshire Council has selected Pickerings Europe for a £211k contract covering Servicing, Repairs and Maintenance to Lifts over 24 months. Delivered under an open procedure via the Public Contracts Scotland portal, the contract encompasses full-spectrum lift maintenance services across council-managed properties, reinforcing accessibility and safety standards.
