UK social housing procurement continues to deliver major opportunities across the regions, with new awards spanning reactive repairs, mechanical services, regeneration, and large-scale development projects.
Breaking ground in Scotland, Maryhill Housing Association has appointed Bell Group to deliver a £1.2m reactive repairs contract running for 36 months. Covering multi-trade property maintenance across Maryhill’s 3,000-home portfolio, the deal includes responsive repairs, emergency call handling, and out-of-hours services to ensure housing stock remains safe, compliant, and well-maintained throughout the 2025–2030 term.
Expanding service capacity in the South East, Southampton City Council has awarded Corrigenda a £6.5m mechanical services measured term contract spanning 114 months. This long-term arrangement covers planned maintenance, term servicing, emergency breakdowns, and plant replacements across civic buildings, schools, and housing assets, with a strong focus on heating, ventilation, hot water, and air-conditioning compliance.
Driving regeneration in East Anglia, Stevenage Borough Council has confirmed Bugler Development as its delivery partner for the £43m Oval Estate redevelopment over 118 months. The award, made via the Pretium Herts, Beds & Bucks Development Services framework, covers design and build works across the first two phases of a three-phase estate renewal programme, aligning with wider regeneration and housing growth strategies.
Strengthening new-build pipelines in the East Midlands, Ongo has selected GS Kelsey Construction for the £12.5m Heapham Road development in Gainsborough. This 22-month contract will deliver 64 new homes alongside drainage, highways, street lighting, and associated infrastructure, procured through the Efficiency North EN:Procure New Build Framework Gen4 to accelerate housing supply.
