Social Housing Boost: Investments Powering Sustainable Homes, Energy Efficiency, and Modern Infrastructure.

Hillingdon London Borough has awarded Mysons a £2.5m, 60-month contract for the Reactive Replacement, Repair, and Service of Windows and Doors across its social housing stock. This initiative focuses on property upkeep, security improvements, and weatherproofing, ensuring that council-owned homes remain safe, energy-efficient, and compliant with modern housing standards. Ongo has awarded Ongo Heating & Plumbing t/a Hales & Coultas Heating a £5m, 36-month contract for the Installation, Servicing, and Repair of Boilers and Central Heating Systems. This project aims to improve heating efficiency, reduce energy costs for residents, and ensure compliance with carbon reduction targets.

Platform Housing Group has partnered with Midlands Building and Maintenance on a £681k, 5-month contract to upgrade The Herriots Scheme, a retirement living development in Droitwich Spa. Phase 1 (early 2025) focuses on fire stopping and compartmentalization, ensuring compliance with UK fire safety regulations. Phase 2 (spring/summer 2025) includes structural upgrades, interior refurbishments, and decorative improvements, enhancing safety, energy efficiency, and living standards for elderly residents. Lambeth London Borough has appointed London Square Developments for a £161.98m, 43-month contract to deliver the Growing Brixton’s Rec Quarter Project. This large-scale housing-led regeneration scheme will include the construction of new homes, commercial spaces, and community facilities, aiming to transform Brixton’s urban landscape with modern, high-quality developments.

Ongo Roofing t/a Ashbridge Roofing Solutions has been awarded a £5m, 36-month contract by Ongo for General Roofing Works covering roof repairs, full replacements, insulation upgrades, and weatherproofing enhancements across its social housing portfolio. This project aims to improve structural resilience, and extend the lifespan of housing stock, ensuring sustainable, weather-resistant, and cost-effective roofing solutions for tenants. Riverside Housing Association has awarded Moores Furniture Group a 36-month contract for the Supply of Kitchens under an RFQ (Request for Quotation) process. This contract will support kitchen refurbishments and replacements across Riverside’s housing portfolio, ensuring modern, high-quality kitchen installations for residents.
