The latest UK contract awards highlight continued investment across social housing repairs, compliance, fire safety, refurbishment, consultancy and residential development, with housing providers and local authorities progressing contracts that strengthen asset management, infrastructure delivery and specialist maintenance across the sector.

Leading today’s awards, Responsive Repairs Glass Works Supply and Fitting has been awarded by Local Space Housing Association to BAP Glass with a contract value of £200k. The contract covers responsive repairs glass works supply and fitting, together with painting and glass surround repairs, supporting ongoing maintenance of housing stock and ensuring a responsive repairs service for residents.

Separately, Redbridge London Borough has awarded Campaign Manager to Policy in Practice for £949k. Although published under this title, the contract supports the provision of a CCTV maintenance contractor covering the period from April 2026 to March 2029, with an option to extend for a further two years, providing ongoing compliance and maintenance services while delivering value for money.

Strengthening building compliance, CHS Group has awarded Active Fire Electronic Security to ABCA Systems for £192k. The contract covers servicing, maintenance and installation of active fire safety and electronic security systems, including fire alarms, emergency lighting, sprinklers, CCTV, door entry systems, lightning protection and associated fire safety infrastructure across its housing portfolio.

Representing the day’s largest award, Norfolk County Council has appointed Costain under West Winch Housing Access Road with a contract value of £53.9m. The design and build contract delivers major highway infrastructure supporting future housing growth, including new housing access roads, A47 improvements, junction upgrades, bridges, cycle routes and associated civil engineering works linked to planned residential development.

Continuing investment in public assets, Hampshire County Council has awarded Woodcot Lodge Kitchen Refurbishment to DM Habens (The Builder) for £349k. The refurbishment contract includes internal reconfiguration, fire-rated partitions, mechanical and electrical upgrades, ventilation improvements, new commercial kitchen facilities, staff kitchenette refurbishments and associated fire safety works.

Supporting property improvement programmes, Fife Council has awarded DFF Flooring Project to The Furnishing Service for £250k. The contract covers the supply and installation of flooring as part of a dedicated improvement project, delivering flooring replacement works through a focused procurement arrangement.

Maintaining operational services, Bradford Metropolitan City Council has awarded Supply and Delivery of Cleaning Materials and Hygiene Products to Lyreco UK for £2.1m. The contract provides cleaning materials and hygiene products supporting council facilities and frontline operational services through an established supply arrangement.

Expanding residential development capability, Codi Group (formerly Pobl Group) has awarded the Framework for Architectural Services for Residential Schemes with a total framework value of £2.0m. Ten architectural practices have been appointed to deliver consultancy and design services supporting future residential schemes, strengthening the group’s development pipeline through a multi-supplier framework.

Supporting regeneration planning, Hammersmith & Fulham London Borough has awarded Consultancy Services – Structures Fund Bid to KPMG for £228k. The consultancy contract provides specialist advisory services to support the authority’s Structures Fund bid through a focused call-off procurement.

Completing the day’s awards, the City of London has awarded Sumner Buildings MEP Engineer to Pick Everard for £164k. Procured through the Fusion21 Construction Consultancy Services Framework, the contract delivers mechanical, electrical and plumbing design services supporting the Sumner Buildings project and wider building services design requirements.
