Strong investment in decarbonisation, fire safety, housing compliance and property improvement defines today’s UK social housing contract awards, with major framework appointments and specialist maintenance contracts creating fresh opportunities across retrofit, energy efficiency, fire protection and residential asset management.

Leading today’s awards, National Carbon and Energy Performance Contracting Framework – 82615 RE:FIT 5 has been awarded by the Greater London Authority with a total value of £1000m over 48 months. The framework appoints Ameresco, Asset Plus Energy Performance, Dalkia Energy Services, Honeywell, TESGL t/a SSE Energy Solutions and Vital Energi Utilities to deliver project development, design, construction, operations, maintenance, measurement and verification, financing and performance-guaranteed decarbonisation projects across public sector buildings throughout the UK.

Adding to housing adaptation investment, Small Residential Adaptations has been awarded by Bristol City Council to Hudson Plumbing & Heating Services with a value of £200k over 12 months. The contract supports the delivery of small residential adaptations, helping improve accessibility and maintain housing stock through responsive improvement works that enable residents to remain safely and independently in their homes.

Strengthening building compliance, Compartmentation Surveys & Works and General Fire Safety Rectification Work Framework has been awarded by Karbon Homes with a total value of £13.6m over 48 months. The six-lot framework appoints C.L.C. Contractors, Isoler, Bell Group, Precise Joinery and Harmony Fire to deliver compartmentation surveys, remedial works and wider fire safety rectification across Karbon Homes and 54 North housing stock, supporting ongoing compliance and asset protection.

Supporting renewable energy investment, Solar PV Installation, Remedial and Maintenance Works has been awarded by Torus to Rothwell Plumbing Services with a value of £750k over 24 months. The contract covers solar PV installation, remedial works and ongoing maintenance, reinforcing energy efficiency programmes while supporting the long-term performance of renewable energy assets across the landlord’s housing portfolio.

Continuing the focus on healthy homes, Condensation & Mould Surveying and Remediation Services has been awarded by Aster Property Limited to Dwelling Doctors with a value of £12m. The contract delivers damp, mould and condensation surveying, monitoring and remediation services across properties owned or managed by Aster, helping improve housing conditions, regulatory compliance and long-term asset performance.

Completing today’s awards, Affordable Housing Framework Mini Tender 3 – Plots 10 & Hare & Hounds Site – SMS-0906 has been awarded by Southampton City Council to Sovereign Housing Association over 41 months. The procurement supports delivery of new affordable housing under the council’s Affordable Housing Framework, with an emphasis on maximising social rented homes while meeting quality standards and ensuring financially viable development proposals.
